I was thinking about this today and thought I'd throw it out there to everyone, "run it up the flagpole" so to speak. Not that I'm bored with the Dragon, far from it, but Hectour and I have talked about this before so I thought I'd see what you guys think about doing the "Million Dollar Highway" at some point.

I'm sure you've seen this on "Dangerous Drives" on cable, its been on there. The road is about 108 miles long and runs from Colorado into New Mexico, I believe. The scenery is amazing, the road is amazing and parts of the road have no guardrails because......THERE IS NO ROOM TO PUT ONE!
Look at this...
They're kidding with this one, right
No room for guardrails here!
WOW!
Just look at it, calling our names!
Now on a serious note, the elevation goes up to 10k+ here, my car would struggle getting up those hills but I think it would make it, but going back down, that's another thing. I don't see myself making this trip in my current car for sure, I mean I know it could do it, but would I want to do it in the Fit...NO! I wanna enjoy myself at some point.
This road is about 1200 miles from us here in Chicago, so its not close to us and certainly not close to you guys in Tenn, S.C., KY and FLA. That being said though, its something to think about though, a once in a lifetime run for sure. We could all plan this 2-4 years down the road and I know that seems a bit extreme with other things going on in our lives, but, with some planning that long, we could do it:shrug:
I hope things get better in my life so by the time we're ready to do a run like that, I've got my Fiat 500 Abarth to do something like that in, that would be GREAT! I will say this though, we'd need to do this in the summer though, at the elevation we'd be going up to, the chance of snow is pretty good and I don't wanna see any white stuff. Much research and reading would have to go into the where and when for this project. So, let's put this in the oven and see what comes out.
