"THE" Official 2010 Fall Dragon Run...Oct 7th thru 10th!

He wants to sell me a solid, 19mm rear sway bar for my car off his 09' Fit for $120 ($140 new) and he said it made a big difference in his car. The stock car has a 17mm and this one is 2mm larger, what do you guys think? I'd probably want it installed while I'm there but that isn't going to happen so it would have to wait till I got back home and see how it goes but it would be on there and all done with. We'll have to see how it goes I guess.

If you want to take the time, my garage in Knoxville could be available for the install...

While you are here...

While you are here...

On a side note, if anyone happens to be in need of SVTC parts, both Nightwolf and IcySVT have some left over from engine swaps, etc. that could be transferred/sold/traded while you all are here...
Be sure to discuss with them directly.

Things I know about:
99 SVT UIM
00 SVT UIM
99 SVT LIM
99 Cam covers
99 SVT cams, chains, etc.
MNB rear seat - bottom & back

I know there is a grocery store in Louden, just 1 exit up from Sweetwater. its also where Trey lives so you could even stop by and bug him.

There also is a grocery store and a Walmart in Madisonville, which is between Tellico and Sweetwater.

Today was the last chance to get stuff done on the car, so I flushed and bled the brakes with help from my lovely wife. I was also going to change the oil while I had it in the air, but the oil drain plug resisted my efforts more than I was comfortable forcing it. It was the first time I tried to do it at home, but with the trip coming up in just a couple days, I wimped out.

I also got my tire pressures up to where I want them, 39 psi front and 35 psi rear to help the car rotate in the corners, just like when I go to the track. I also adjusted my koni's 1.5 rounds away from full soft where I usually have them. I am not sure if I should've waited until I got down there but I can soften it up again if the ride down is too harsh.

I think I am ready except for packing.

I know Gulfcat (Marge) need an UIM for her Cougar, so I'm sure she'll be in contact with you guys.

Not really sure about the sway bar, I'm just not educated enough to know if I really need it, don't wanna just throw money at it just to do it. This is just a sub-compact car that has some "sport" in it and I'm not sure 2mm is going to make that much of a difference. In the past I've done stuff like this and don't know if it was the right thing to do or not. I know it couldn't hurt but I doubt if I'll push the car enough now to reach what the current bar can do:shrug:

This was all alot easier when I had the other cars in the past, especially the Mini, I knew that was a small car built for fun and had the goods to back it up, too bad it was so troublesome though. I guess I got what I need right now, safe and reliable, good on gas and practical, oh well, I make the best of it:o

Alan Trammell number of days to go.

Remind me not to be directly in front of you during the night skyway run. Are those D2R or D2S bulbs? D2R's have less glare issues, but aren't as glare free as HID Projectors/stock HID setups.

Not sure, bought the 55w version through DDM. The camera on my phone makes more of a glare. They are bright. If I were to do it again I'd buy the 35w.

HIDs use less wattage, so I think they're all 35w. As far as the lights being too bright for anyone on the Dragon/Skyway, just adjust your rearview mirror, I plan on having my brights on. Driving the Skyway several times at night time has taught me this, brights are a MUST, period! I'm sure the Dragon will need the brights too. I'd like to park at "the Wall" at night time and just get out and experience the sound you hear out there......NOTHING BUT QUIET! I really need this right now, time to think about things, so if noone else wants to stop there, no problem, I know my way back for sure.

Less than 72 hrs to go!

I take anything Roger says regarding lighting with a grain of salt. The rear fogs he had on his mini made his car look like this.

Roger, they sell 35w and 55w HIDs. The 55w are bright...as demonstrated in Matt's picture! LOL

Everything looks bright in pics Hectour:troutslap: What are my HIDs, 35w or 55w?

Wait till you guys see Hectours custom made rear foglight...LED with so many bulbs I forgot:crazy:

I think us Chicago/Michigan guys have about 60 hrs to go:cool:

Attention RANDY OR BILLY!

Attention RANDY OR BILLY!

Trey is going to take you guys up on your offer to join your cabin and he's agreed NOT to use all the hot water, he said to let you guys know THANKS:cool:

BTW, are you guys good with picking up some good brats and buns and whatever else you think we'd like, I don't think anyone is too fussy. I don't mind spending the money I was going to spend on dinner out for a good bbq meal for sure. Remember, we're guys, we can rough it!

Also, the idea of some of the people bbq-ing Friday night (non-night drivers), is that cool, chime in guys. The food will never go to waste out there, have you seen the people going:crazy:
