"THE" Official 2010 Fall Dragon Run...Oct 7th thru 10th!

Eathen, the car looks great and once you get the fenders, hood and bumper painted it will all match up. In some of the pics you can see the color difference but nothing too major. What do you think about painting the mirrors the same color as car? Glad everything has worked out for the repairs/upgrades, now break it in.

So what kind of power will that Fit be crankin' out up here?
Whatever it is it won't be enough.

eh... I'm not diggin' the wheel color... other say it looks good... I just don't see it. It reminds me of the "blueing" stuff that gets put on chromed/polished hydraulic parts as a rust inhibitor during shipping that needs to be washed off before the part can be used on something. I must be old school with wheels.. or just old... but I think wheels should be bright, light color, and shiny to help the look of a car and dark wheels make the car always look dirty regardless of how clean it is. Having wheels in a color that contrasts with the car color is apparently a new trend that just looks goofy to me.

Oh well. To each his own. Its your car so the only person that needs to like it is you.

Roger,

I have a basic 14 channel 2-way Cobra radio from years ago that I can use for the trip, as long as no one is planning to use sub-channels or anything like that. That should be sufficient for this group, right? (I only have 1 radio, not 2, since I gave one to ryanblacksvt at spring zing 2008 that he took home and I have not seen him since to get it back.) I was considering going out and getting a new set with the longer range, but anything over 2 miles requires an FCC license to use and I really did not see the need, unless the plan is to use subchannels of some sort with this group.

Also, what is the plan for the trip down? I assume you're heading down I-65 from Chicagoland toward Louisville... I will be cutting across on I-74 to join I-65 at Indy so I can meet up with the group in that area at a predetermined time and place. Let me know if you want suggestions for places...

Yeah, I wanted to create a color that would just clash the hell out of my car. I really love it, and in person it looks even better.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. Randy was thinking about doing something like this with his wheels but I had trouble picturing it. I think I like it.

We usually don't use the subchannels just so everyone is covered.

The plan coming down is 65 south to Louisville. 64 east to Lexington. 75 south were we meet the Detroit group.

You're going to need more power LMAO!

WOW we've come a long way as guys, talking about losing weight, contrasting colors, not eating a whole pizza, being old, I guess:troutslap: What, next thing we're going to be talking about is MPG>MPH:laugh:

Bob, the address to the restaraunt in Kentucky is posted a couple pages back, we're meeting Dan (Striker2) there for lunch, so if you want, plan your leave time to meet us there around 11:30-noon, Hectour said it was about 5 1/2-6 hrs from Chicago and we plan on leaving the area around 5:30 a.m. late start.

The talk about "Convoy" got me to thinkin', we need "handles".

Today is the last day for double digit days to go, tomorrow....WE'RE SINGLE:cool:

I just checked my phone and got a message from Dixie and she wanted me to call her back, but she's at church from 11-noon, so I've gotta wait to call her back. I'm sure its just to confirm that we're coming down. I know Jim confirmed with her the other day (guy with the Fiero), so I'll give her a call on my way out to the baby chrisening I'm going to this afternoon. You guys might wanna give Dixie a call today too, probably around 12:30 p.m. EST.

Number again?

Number again?

The link for their site is on the first page, but for everyone else 1-423-253-3670, ask for Dixie. BTW, I just called her and left a message, so if she needs to call me back I told her to do so, but its probably just about making sure we're coming and yeah, we sure are coming.....all of us!

Found the address. Google maps on my phone says 335 miles and 5 hrs 47 mins for me. It also said it was only 304 miles and 5 hrs 16 min from Tinley Park, plus stops of course for gas, etc. So basically I need to leave my place about 30 mins before you guys do. Or head to Indy the night before and stay with family there, because Louisville is in the eastern time zone not central and we lose an hour with that too.

I know what my handle is, its easy. SoundQ. Yes I am boring.
