Would a Cougar Dash fit a Contour SVT?

yes and yes it has been done. cant remember who but it has been done. you need the crossmember to do it.

edit: woops cougar dash... i believe someone did do it but dont remember the outcome.

well I've thoroughly ripped apart my cougar and am using a mix of contour and cougar wireharnesses for the cabin/dash. The crossmember may be a bit different, but thats not that difficult to swap out. The wiring should be plug and play (apart from slight differences with the later cougars)... although I haven't tried it, but I want to say even the gauge clusters are swappable. The dash itself will fit without issue. but obviously, you are going to have a bit of fiberglass work on your hands to mold up the door panels in a way that doesn't look awkward.

I have plenty of photos of every part if it interests anyone.

from what I have seen the clusters are not interchangeable. the cougar I saw had connectors that had a sliding lock on them, or a flip lock. our clusters just snap in and have a release tab. so they are retained completely different and are of a different shape. but I don't know if this was just a late model cougar or not.

you can take the needles from the cougar cluster and install them in the contour cluster.
