The "OFFICIAL" 2009 Fall Dragon Run Thread!

evening folks just spent 2 hours reading this entire thread in hopes of not noobing myself though i probably will anyway- where and what time will i be able to find you guys on saturday morning? no way to get out of work friday but i'd love to come out and at least drool on your cars as i lost my CSVT about 2 years ago and currently don't have anything worth bringing for the cruise. unless a 06 lancer ES with a baby seat would be a valuable addition:o....

You can come on out to our cabins in Tellico Plains Tennessee, we'll be leaving around 9:00 a.m. to head to the little restaraunt in the downtown area (up on the hill, you'll find it, its a small town:cool:) As long as you can drive your car within your limits its all good with us!

Al Kaline number of days to go, the hours count starts next week!

LOL! I have to bring Corolla parts with me, and they won't fit in the Z3-M; plus it ain't got no tags. The Corolla don't run. So that just leaves my old busted daily driver Camry or my new big Endeavor. I think I can actually fit the Corolla in it...

Well Eric, with your experience I bet you can drive the tires off of the "Camera"....but two things, one are the tires bald and do you have another ballcap that looks to be as old as me? If the answer is yes to either questions the car is good to go then!!!

much thanks- i recently located a CSVT at a dealership literally a half mile from my house and its beat up enough that i might be able to afford it but due to some type of management/ property owner dispute they won't even talk to me about it much less sell it... so i stuck a post it with the word "reserved" on it dead- ass in the middle of the windshield. but it's the lancer for now...

The Lancer is fine, like stated earlier, its about having a good time with a bunch of car guys! Just because you don't have a "car" right now doesn't make you any less of a car guy:shrug: We've all been there as some point and hey, your lookin' at a CSVT and hopefully all goes well and you can be one of the few CSVT's to run in the annual CEG Fall Dragon Run, what a concept:laugh:

Its getting closer guys, I can Feel it! See it! Taste it! Hear it even:cool:

I am just about ready. I got an alignment and mounted my new tires today, I changed my oil, detailed my interior, cleaned up the engine bay a bit, polished my exhaust tips, and will be washing the car tomorrow. After that I think it will sit in the garage until we head out Thursday morning.

I can't wait to break in these tires and see how much better the S2000 handles now. I will still be taking it easy on the Dragon though. I am a bit paranoid about possibly breaking something so far away from home.

I relocated the IMRC yesterday so now I can put the cover on and not worry about the heat getting to the the IMRC.

Well no these tires are bf'new Bridgestone's but I do have a janky old hat I wore at the trucking company. Thermo King of Chattanooga FTW!! I honesly have no idea what happened to my 'hot bikes & cold beer' hat. I think my ex got it in the settlement.

Das Auto ist sauber und bereit!

Final coat of wax completed today, car stereo fixed, tire pressure checked. Let's get this show on the road!!! Hury the f--- up and get here, Thursday!
