^ agreed. When I put my mirko on by hand I could angle the Mirko where the bottom was not parallel to the ground and was pretty much pointing up, but the fog light portion was flush! When You positioned where it was supposed to be nothing lined up properly. More pics, more angles. It does look really good now that they fixed those corners.
 
Hey guys. Im sure Steve will post soon but for anyone interested I think we may have 15 of them that were made before our previous corrections that will be available. Basically, im thinking same fit (or maybe slightly better) than the original Mirko but still wrapping around the fenderwell. They produced 15 of them and shipped them so we will have those available to us as well. I will let Steve post up any info on pricing etc as I dont know what he will be asking for those.

Im still waiting on more pictures of the revised part, im hoping soon id like to get these done finally for you guys.

No doubt. Looks like they jumped the gun. Even the first pics they sent, you can clearly see the splitter did not wrap around the bumper as the bumper is showing on the back side of the splitter. The second pictures showing the wrap around are not of the same splitter shown in the original ones. I bet you they have gone through at least 3 iterations of splitters before they have gotten to the one that we will eventually see pictures of...
 
Lol, trust me I dont care if it pisses them off or not, im their customer so if im not happy why should I settle for it. Out of all the people they deal with I know I am the one that calls most to complain...lol I already know that, I've asked :D I deal with Corvette parts, trust me those guys are VERY hard to please, so we are always working on stuff to improve it. With that said though, they tell me all the parts I have designed with them have been homeruns so they are always calling me to work on new projects.


With that said though as mentioned we will have 15 splitters available to anyone that is not very picky and they do wrap around the bumper. Im sure Steve will ofer them at a good price.

Im surely interested in one of these when/if they become available. Im "not very picky"...

I would be interested too depending on the price. I wish I had seen this back at the beginning!

Looks really good.

As previously stated I would like to know how this is going to work? Will ED be making 1 of these sending it to the US to Steve, have him test fitment on his car and then OK production (or point out the flaws?).....

Remember that bumper they have is all sloppy and held by wood, possibly making it another shape from when the bumper is mounted on the car.

It looks like they've trimmed too much off the right side. It visibly drops down a little, and doesn't cover the same amount of area the left side does.

If that's their latest iteration, can they also snap pics from the back again?
 
ok guys,
i spoke with pete about these yesterday and today as well. the 15 non-perfect-fitting splitters are here and ready to ship out. im not a picky mofo myself, so ill be grabbing two of those for my buckets lol.

since they are correcting the issue, these should be a one-time only deal. so if youre ok with non-perfect fitment, like the original mirko, then you should be ok with these. i will sell these for $250 plus shipping. that's $50 less than the GB pricing and theyre ready to go. $50 is a decent sized discount and its not like theyre lop-sided or anything lol.

one member is in the LA area for vacation and plans to pick one up today/tomorrow in person from ED. he can snap some pics for us and tell us all how they are. or at least he can tell me, and ill post up about it. i know he's anxious to grab one while he's in town to avoid the shipping costs.

also, i will allow anyone on the GB list to jump ship and grab one of these instead since you've all been patiently waiting. i dont HAVE to buy any of these 15 splitters but DO have to buy the 15 coming ones. but i wont hold you to your GB splitter if you want to get one of these instead, for less, and quicker. hell im doing it myself lol.

as for the people who still want in on the GB, you can still get in but not at the GB pricing. that definitely would not be fair to the people who put their deposits in moooonths ago. and i stated that in the beginning as well. you would still need to give a deposit though but at least you would lock in a splitter from the coming batch. instead of having to wait on batch #2 which will be set up who knows when. OR, you can grab one of the "blem" batch splitters right now.

for anyone who wants to grab one of these "blem" batch splitters right now, give me a call at 818-357-2531 to discuss and set it up.

PS a billion thanks to Pete for all his help with this. without him id have a bunch of angry CEGers hounding me right now lol.
