2012 Fall Dragon Run thread-10th anniversary! (10-11/10-14-12)

Ok, looks like the exhaust came with an extra gasket for the front flange, so all I need is something to join the header to the down pipe. Super! Oh and I need another pinion seal. Fudger went in crooked and warped.

Not enough room, but I wrote out my startup checklist on the hood. Every time I check something off, I add a new section. I need some exhaust gaskets for the header, among other things.

Eric, it could be worse, you could be working on a Ferrari like on "Wheeler Dealer", LOL, you'd probably need 2 hoods!

Should I even bother putting a radio in? I have an old Kenwood CD player and an even older Kenworth tape deck. I think i'll install them both and just power the tape deck so it lights up. I think it's broke anyways.

Tape deck FTW Eric, I'm sure you've got some tapes left over and if not, I've got some and then there's always Ebay, that would be fun hunting down some Ratt "out of the cellar", Dokken "tooth and nail", Ozzy "diary of a madman", LOL!

I found my old Avalon tape/CD combo that I used to have in my 86 on eBay again lol. At least the guy selling it isn't asking more than he paid me lol.

Roger your age is showing lolxzx. Maybe tomorrow Dude and I can get the wiring finished up and mock up the ricer wing.

Yeah I know but hey, I'm keeping with the times, Hectour is removing the rear wiper from my car soon, LOL. Make sure you post pics, we like pics!

Do we have anyone new coming out on the run with us here from the CEG yet?

Dan, looks like you've got a restoration going on there! With all the hard work, your car should feel like a brand new car!! I bet you can't wait to get that thing out on the Skyway, let all those 300 horsepowers run free!! Speaking of that, how are the tires on that thing?

Not sure how big or small the run is going to end up being this year, but as long as the old school guys who haven't showed up for a while make it out, that will make it worth while, especially this year!

I will probably run between wastegate and stock boost (6-9PSI) out on the dragon and skyway. dont need to get into to much trouble out there. I would like to get a dual stage boost controller before then so that I can run near stock boost normally and when i want to have some fun run about 15PSI.

as far as tires go they will need to be replaced before the run as they are going on 8-9 years old now, even though they still have some tread life left. will also need to have the chrome removed from the wheels (or at least the bead seats) at the same time as its peeling and allowing at least 2 of the tires to leak a little bit.

Removing the chrome from the wheels........you going to just powdercoat them Dan? As far as the tires go, yeah, its time for them to go for sure!

I posted in the NC/SC thread trying to get some new blood to come out on the run, hopefully this works out, it is the 10th annual run afterall!
