The only problem with that one is the price isn't perfect, so my version is much easier to do and for a backyard mechanic, much easier to build too! Hey Josh, have you been on the Skyway/Dragon with the new Focus yet?
 
No I havent been out there yet cause I pretty much hate the slushbox Powershift or whatever its called. It gets confused sometime, especially in the rain. Plus there is really no sense in going with the garbage Contis that are on it.

Sorry that the trans is like that, I've heard about that issue and as far as the tires go, well, too bad you didn't get that optional 18" package for it, I've heard that really changes things for the better. I'm sure you'll put better tires on it when it comes time but as far as taking it out there, well, I'd rather you come out there with us in that car if need be, it doesn't matter so much about the car but rather you make it out there and make an appearance.

I'll apologize in advance for my retarded loud ass exhaust. I thought it was going to have a resonator mid-pipe and a muffler. But nope, 60mm straight pipe and a big fat fart cannon. Oh well, sh it's gonna be real.

Don't apologize. Bring earplugs.........together we can terrorize the dragon with our super loud exhausts.
 
Dan, glad your making progress on the VR4! Any upgrades when you took that thing all out?

Yeah my CSVT was loud, took the advice of the CEG and look what happened, LOL!

Eric, will your AE sound like that black one?
 
No that black one was fuel injected and hella stock. He just had a loud exhaust, or no muffler at all. Mine will be as loud I'm sure, but it'll have a different note and tone. Plus you might be able to hear the carbs drinking gas. ;) I'll bring some extra earplugs!
 
Roger, the only real upgrade I made was the 300m output shaft. its made from the same material used in F1 axles and no one has ever broken one in a 3S, even with over 1000AWHP. the factory internals can handle over 600AWHP without problems and it already has ever so slightly larger turbos on it (11Gs vs the stock 9Bs). this was just a basic rebuild, but im installing a new clutch and a brand new transfer case as well as a reman rack and pinion with new outer tie-rod ends and LCA ball joints. other mods the car already has are poly engine and trans mounts with solid roll resistors, intake, and a larger downpipe with 0 cats.

I need some new tires first as the current ones are about 8 years old and starting to dry rot a little. starting to look at them now so I can figure out how much im going to end up spending on them. looking for performance all seasons.

This is great news Josh, wish we could've heard/seen it in person but I know this, when you get that Lotus you'll forget all about the Daytona....yeah, its that good! It does suck that you can't make it out with us in the evening but I hope you can make a small appearance with the group at some point, let us know and keep us posted on the Daytona too!

Not enough room, but I wrote out my startup checklist on the hood. Every time I check something off, I add a new section. :cry: I need some exhaust gaskets for the header, among other things.
