2012 Fall Dragon Run thread-10th anniversary! (10-11/10-14-12)

KKM that's a name I haven't heard in a minute lol. It's got to have dnewman04-approved BluePrint subs in the trunk, and gen-1 Stazi mesh and an Aussie bar!!

I had the last 2 items on your list Eric and I think I can still hear the Aussie bar squeakin' to this day, LOL! I also took the Aussie up on his offer to get the parts needed to do my true duels too, that I think EVERYONE can still hear, LOL! I spent alot of money on that system and went too large too (2.25" instead of 2.0") I had a KKM oil cap, polished to perfection and impossible to get off when the engine was warm even, forget about it when it was hot! Imagine all these products down the road when the Tours are 20 years old and at shows, how inside would that be. Don't forget about those dead pedals, who's the dork that had those made again, LOL!
 
I want to make the run this year sounds like a blast. Is there any one looking to set up roommates? Would be just me.....
 
the VR4 fired for the first time since October tonight. :evil: I only ran it for about 30 seconds to make sure the oil pressure would come up (after priming it). will warm it up and start the break in tomorrow.
 
***UPDATE***

The new place is all booked up for our run, so "plan C" is here www.caneycreekvillage.com We got lucky enough to book the place next door to the Dragon Pit Inn yesterday, took less than 24 hrs to do so. If your not local and wanna go, our original spot is available as always. I will help anyone coordinate the reservations at Caney Creek, even though I'm staying at the new place I want everyone whom wants to go, to be make it, especially this year as its our 10th anniversary this year!

Jerry, I see you wanna go, you need to check here as well as here www.xceedspeed.com, same with you Dan. Dan, you'll probably need to go ahead and do what you told me you were going to do as far as sleeping arrangements but please let me know if your going for sure though, we've got a master list of cars going over on xceed right now and its up to 15 right now, just cars!

Now, is there any locals that going for sure? If so, please let me know so I can update the master list or you can come over to xceedspeed and add it yourself, as well introduce yourself to the guys, its all good!

Please chime in here if your willing and able to stay at Caney Creek, you've got somewhere to stay, even if its away from the group its not a problem, we'll meet up somewhere out there, easy to do, we've done it before. Drop me a PM and let me know guys, the more the merrier, especially this year, its the 10th annual, we'll make it work and don't worry about not knowing anyone, we're all car guys, it doesn't matter, I didn't know anyone 10 years ago either and now look at what's happened with the run!!!

You noobs to our run, what are your plans? We really, really need a Contour at this meet, its the 10th annual and it all started right here with the Contour, so I hope atleast one makes it out, Matt sold his pristine T-red CSVT recently, so he's out, time for someone else to step up!

Are you a local to the area? The reason I ask is because as of right now, we've got no room for anyone, the place we're staying is all booked up but that could change as time get's closer, people always drop out (not our group, the other people who booked there) We're going to try and see if we can get people to sleep on the floor if need be, so if we're allowed to that, well, you'd have a place to stay.....kinda, LOL! SVOFANATIC, I see your in NC, what are you planning on doing for where stay, are you close enough? BTW guys, I'm working on another CSVT making the trip, then there's TigerBalm who might be able to make it out depending on his plans, he's a Dragon vet of ours and has a sweet dark blue CSVT w/ a 3.0L! Looks like we're going to have Tours once again and not just one either, that's a good thing!

My plans were to stay at basins creek in gatlinburg awesome place tI stay very nice but I'd need a couple more people to room with.

It would be great if you got a couple CEG-ers to stay with you, I've even got a guy I just met the other day with a nice green CSVT that might wanna go, tryin' to get him into our place if there's a cancellation but if you set something up on your own, well, I'll send him your way, thanks for taking the ball and running with it and trust me, we'll set something up so we can all hang out and drive together, well, as much as a group of 20+ cars can do that, LOL! Our most ever was 26 cars 2 years ago, so we've done it before.

Hey If anyone wants to join thats fine There are 3 beds two queen and one King size bed. As well as a fold out on the coutch. If anyone wants to join thats fine I just stayed there 3 weekends ago for the ZX2 meet. And the place is great. If your wife, brother, sister, or ECT. wants to come there is plenty of room and if a couple come I have no problems letting them have the king size. I just want a place to stay lol. split up into four it would be about $80 a person and that's for TWO nights!!
 
^^^ SVOFANATIC, you sound like a real go-getter, I appreciate that greatly, especially this year with all the changes that have taken and are taking place for this years run but its all good, can't wait to meet you and the other noobs to our run and the fact that your not a noob to the Dragon itself, well, that's even better!

You would be the youngest person there but barely, Dillon with the turbo'd Miata in our group is a little older but don't worry about the age stuff, us older guys are cool, trust me. I don't subscribe to the adage "if its too loud your too old", I blast my rock/jazz/blues/guitar music loudly out there, as well as Crystal Method for taking the curves with more of a video game feeling!

I'm 42 and have been on the CEG since I was 30!
