Needmorespeed: I would prefer you buy them but if you can't then I'll go ahead an offer them to the guy who wants a set....but you know how that goes. "Oh I want them...what I've got to pay this year??"

Anyway, there is a set of brake brackets up for sale since needmorespeed is looking for a substitute.

REAR FSVT rotors vs. FRONT CSVT rotors:
Rear solid fsvt rotors appear to NOT be heavier than the CSVT front vented rotors. I haven't measured it but from memory the feel the same or lighter than the CSVT fronts. They are also easer to put on as I said. The ONLY ADVANTAGE of the CSVT front rotors is the venting. It would only play a roll in continuos braking as in autocross/track racing.

Nevermind I just found that the focus rears are 280mm vs our 278mm ones, not to mention as Tom said their one piece design. I might go for them if Tom w/ let us know the size of the spacer needed.

The rotors are the same size. They are both 280mm.

I already told you the spacer thickness.
Thickness of the spacer I sent you + 2x thickness of one of the hardened washers. I would estimate 14-15mm. That thickness will center the rotor in the bracket but it isn't really a big deal if you are off a little bit because of the floating pads.
Or did I not say already say that? Might have been that big post I typed and it turned out didn't save so I had to redo it. :shrug: I know I wrote it at least once.

ok my understanding is that you have to have csvt fronts already for these brackets. does that include the E0 bracket, they are different arent they.
 
The Warmonger kit works with all Contour SVT front brakes. I was the beta tester for confirming that it worked with the E0. It had already been proven for the E1 and newer.

And the E0 brackets must be used with the E0 calipers.
 
Did I miss something? Did I need to specify that I have E0 brakes?? :confused: I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by E0 brackets have to be used with E0 calipers :shrug:

I'll clarify.

The Warmonger ADAPTER brackets will work with either E0 or E1 calipers and FACTORY brackets.

What you cannot mix is the FACTORY brackets with the E0 and E1 calipers.

The Warmonger ADAPTER brackets are added to the FACTORY brackets to move the calipers out to clear the larger rotors.

Again, the kit Warmonger sells provides brackets that ADAPT your existing calipers and brackets for use with the larger rotors. You must start with SVT (or Cougar with the large brakes which is most of them with a V6 engine) factory brackets. If you have a non SVT Contique, you will need to purchase factory late SVT (or appropriate Cougar) brackets if you are doing this to an SE. You will need bigger than stock wheels too.

I can't think of any more ways of saying this so I hope it is clear.
 
Thanks for clarifying, I guess I didn't understand if you were talking about the adapter brackets or the factory brackets :eek:
