What did you do to your Contour today?

well i got the 96 mystique ready for a front body svt conversion. Side skirts are on. Bumper, headlights and header panel are out, all in a bout 2-3 hours. I think i did pretty good. Svt header panel, headlights, grill, and front bumper are ready to go on the car minus the foglights. The passenger side fender is painted just needs clear coat. The drivers side is getting done tomorrow.

mystique got first fitment today. Tons and Tons of fab work went into turning a 96 Mystique into a 2000 svt. Drivers side fender needs to be moved over a little. headlights need to have a second mounting bracket put on top. Fenders need painted, bumper grill needs put in, and headlights need aimed. :wizard:

I wonder where you got all of them parts from...

As for mine, earlier in the week, I hauled 10 of the 2 cubic feet bags of mulch in the SVT since I don't have a truck. Gave me time to decided that I like a lowered rear better than stock ride height.

haha yeh hopefully be seeing you very soon. Sounds like my 99 contour se. If you can stick you shoe between the gap its too high. hahah just kidding:crazy:

as for today nothing to much happened. weather stripped the engine compartment and headlights. Turns out i need 2 headlights. I know where to get them ^. figure out where the side pipes are going to come out at. I started designing the true dual exhaust. Still need to figure out what mufflers/ muffler i want to go with. still deciding if i want to replace the back bumper with an svt one or keep the Mystique bumper and fiberglass a panel for the bottom. Hmmmm.. Lots to think about.

If you're doing side pipe, have it come out at the rear jack point covers. Then just fiberglass the rear bumper. It'd look bad having exhaust cutouts and no exhaust.

Here is mine cleaned up and the back end lowered from over the weekend.

yeh thats actually what i was thinking. There aren't really any exhaust cutouts on the mystique bumper. i just need to drop the bottom another 2 inches or so to match up with the rest of the car. I think im gonna leave the skirts the way they are actually. It gives me a little extra space to mess with at the rear. BTW thanks for the headlights they are so much better ha.

on another note that car is beautiful, especially in person. extremely clean.

I got a little inspiration from another member here and decided to do a little paint correction on the contour. Not too bad for a 13 year old paint job. The last picture is of my son's car, he got rid of his 98 contour svt and bought that thing. I don't know what the heck he was thinking.

Paint looks great. Cant wait to try it on my car. As for the FRS, he should have gotten the BRZ. The interior is much higher quality.

replaced the trunk struts and instrument dash bezel. those struts were a huge pain in the ass, but now my trunk finally stays open and not falling down on me. thanks blu_fuz.
