"THE" Official 2010 Fall Dragon Run...Oct 7th thru 10th!

Yup, thats the plan. Just waiting for the OK from the boss.

$$$$ getting a little tight right now. I'll just be filling up the bottle and upgrading the brakes to the NPG big brake kit this time around.

BTW Dan, how about some new pics for us!

The Faincee and I are leaving for vacation tomorrow so i thought i would give the VR4 a good bath before I drive it 600 miles to Williamsburg.

Only a few coats of wax have been applied. :D

Even wet the paint the still has pretty good depth for being 17 years old.

All dry and ready to load up for the road tomorrow.

With the "Snake Eyes" mod. kind of like the fog light mod, only it allows the headlights to be turned on with the side markers (which then also allows the fogs to come on) without actually popping them up so they just shine through the "snake eyes" (flasher lens). My little helper (Whipper, named by my brother due to her tail which will whip the crap out of your legs) decided it would be a good time to walk past the car while I was taking the picture.

Don't worry about the Taurus engine, Mustang shiftknob or Kia tailights, noone will notice, trust me:shrug: I know the guy who owned this car, he's an older Aussie guy, very nice and laid back, no abuse....stunning inperson and sounds awesome!

Actually you'd have to drive both cars (Elise and NSX) to see which one fits you best, I've never driven the NSX but the Elise can read your mind and knows what you wanna do, the NSX is a Bentley compared to the Elise when it comes to interior, not that the Lotus has cheap materials because it doesn't but.....just look at that NSX....WOW! I bet you guys both come down there in something different next year, Billy for sure, gotta keep up the streak! My streak used to be 2 years in row the same car, then last year that went away with the MINI when I made it to year #3 in a row. I bet the Honda beats that out, we'll see.

That company uses the same people who just laid me off for their website -.- lol

Dan, your paint looks great, what wax did you use:confused:

Also, get some quick detailer and wipe that dirt off of the inside of the body kit towards the d/s rear wheel:shrug:

Finally, check the mileage on the drive, I'm curious.

Trey, I thought you'd like that and do you think you'll still be able to make it out this year?

Duke, I didn't even know you were going, did you reserve a cabin or are you staying with Hectour and his Dad?

I use Meguiars NXT wax and Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer when it gets dusty (also use it on the windows for now until i can get a hold of some aquapel).

Unfortunately most of that is kind of caked on so i will have to get the clay bar out to get rid of it, thankfully its pretty thin so it should come off easily enough. The whole car needs to be clayed but i dont have time right now, plus its been rediculously hot, so im not going to pull the clay out for just the 2 spots (other side is the same way). It will be done once it starts to cool of a little bit.

Google Maps lists it as 607 miles from my house to Wyndham Kingsgate in Williamsburg, so should be about 10-11 hours.

Edit: Roger, you need to fix that link in your last post.

Eric, some motivation for you in this pic! Actually Randy and Eathen and myself as well!

I will try my best to make it out this time, with everything i have going on at the moment I have no idea what i might be driving though. if I dont find a job asap i may be in another svt cause ill prob give the soon to be ex wife the cobalt and sell the mustang for bill money and buy a cheaper car. Just all depends on how the cards fall. More than likely i WILL be there though you guys know i usually find a way

Sorry to hear about the soon to be ex, been there, done that and its tough for sure. If it comes down to you needing a place to stay and your really tight on the cash, we've got room for one more in our cabin and you can stay for free (I'm sure my step Dad and Derek will not mind considering the situation), just let me know when you get around to it.

greatly appreciate the offer, considering it would cut down my gas bill not having to go back home every night. I will more than likely take you up on that as long as i end up with a suitable car lol im hoping to either have the gt or the cobalt but only time will tell.

I "think" most of us would agree, give her the Stang and you keep the Cobalt, its a much better performer for sure. Just let me know when the time comes, just incase someone else needs a place to stay, thanks!

I just saw your addition to our "who's going" list Trey, thanks for that and after checking it I noticed something too.....WE'RE OFFICIALLY OVER 20 CARS NOW, 21 TO BE EXACT!

Halfway sounds like the car is actually doing something. Funny thing is if im in the cobalt all anyone will hear from it is s/c scream lol
*edit*
Wait REALLY did i see what i think i saw pull over to let the Fit go by?! LOL

Damn 20 mph looks fast from the back seat! LOL

Now you know vids make any car looks slow, even your vid didn't look all that fast....well I mean you can hear the BOV but it still doesn't look all that fast either. Can't wait to see what 100 hp Mazda 2 looks like on vid:violin: LOL!

OOOOOOOO JAY SIMPSON number of days to go:crazy:

I just thought of another "to do" item for the list while looking and asking Dan about his choice of wax on the 3000. Its a good idea to do a good detail on the car BEFORE the trip! I plan on claying, one coat of Klasse AIO and two coats of SG. Between the morning dew, washing the bugs off while we're down there, getting there as a matter of fact, it just makes clean up that much easier. Applying a good coat of wax to your windshield is a very good idea as well, its something I do everytime I wax my car. There's times when I don't even have to put my wipers on infact. Because of the hot summer I've only got 13 coats as of today and trust me, I can say "only 13" at this time of the year. I got the car at the end of February, so I had to wait to even do a proper 3 step, so I need to catch up before the winter, it sucks not having a place to detail your car at, I was spoiled while working at the Lotus dealership as I had a key to the building and could and would go in on a Sunday morning and do the car up whenever I wanted to.

BTW, don't forget to bring WHEEL CLEANER, remember last year and the years before that, the wheels get the most dirty, especially those with dusty pads, i.e. OEMs, especially Euro cars.
