just found out that I can't wax, detail, buff, or even put painters tape on my new paint for 30 to 60 days. That will be a tough one. I hope my paint can survive the run. Without protection.
 
2 WEEKS AND ONE DAY TO GO!

I'm going to meet up with the guys from xceedspeed and JC Jetta this weekend, hopefully to meet them and break the ice so to speak and make it more comfortable for them so they kinda meet someone from our site:cool:

This run is running anywhere between 15-20 cars, so some sort of organization is a must so it comes off smoothly, but with some planning, open dialouge and consideration we can ALL have a good time, that's what I want as I've been waiting for this since the drive home last year on Sunday!!!

I'm basing this off of the guy from Miami coming to meet up with a buddy in Tenn, Tigerbalm and 1-2 of his friends, Bob from Chicago, Pete who came down with us last year and another 1-2 guys from xceedspeed who haven't quite committed yet. No matter what though, the group should be split into 2 but with a 10 minute gap IMO. I do think we need to meet up at that new gas station though, the entire group, so we do "fender count", get gas (especially Mad Max Motorsports in his modded Fiero:crazy:), get some snacks and check out the place. Hopefully they've got a big parking lot, we'll be taking it over!

BTW, we like to get our Dragon shirts from Wheelers, which is right down the street and as most of you know his parking lot ISN'T big, so try and park on the side of the road and off to the side. Now if he's got parking, go for it:cool:

2 weeks from right now I'll be in northern Ohio, hopefully sitting down to a giant waffle at Waffle House!!!
 
This is for you Roger aka Klasse Act! I can finally post here and I am going to the Dragon with group! I am not a Contour owner but I have 2 Saabs. A 9-5 Combi and 9-3 Sedan. The Sedan is busted right now with a blown cylinder and it is sitting at the dealership. They haven't even started working on it yet, thankfully GM/Saab are covering 50% of the costs. I do have a 2009 9-3 Sedan as a free courtesy car that I plan to take with me!! If they only knew, haaaaa!! Erin says she wants me to pick her up a Dragon shirt, do you know of a good place? Here is a pic of the cars for those that haven't seen them:

Derek also didn't mention that on the "heatbreaker" dyno his car put down 187 hp but 260 ft/lbs of torque with the BSR stage II tune, BSR intake and BSR cat-back and this was done with the guy not knowing how the keep his automatic in gear longer, so once he gets his stage III tune and 3" downpipe it will be interesting to see what it does:cool:

Since its his first time down there the stock 9-3 will be fine, but it would be nice to have your modded out car out there for sure, but you'll be alright!

***BREAKING NEWS***
Alex's buddy who got his STi totaled is coming with his new car, but its a secret, so ontop of a modded Fiero and the 414hp 240SX coming, there's going to be another amazing car, I just know its something special, but Alex is keeping it to himself, which is fine, surprises are GREAT:cool:
 
Depending on the weather i may have a guy from the Locost forums coming up from GA for Thursday and Friday in his 81 Rotus 7. He has to be back at work Friday night but would love to come join us during the day. Its dependent on the weather as its a Lotus 7 type car with no top. :drool:
 
Cool, now we can play one of our all-time favorite games...."Guess the replacement car!" Now considering we don't know this guy its all a guess, but since I want it to be the Skyline, I'm sticking with that, but remember, its based on the first guess sounding good! Maybe Alex will give us a clue:shrug:

I wish I could bring one of ours, we've got a couple to chose from:help: but then again, we've had one out with already, back in 07' and this thing was going around the turns like it was on rails...seriously, they are sick:eek::eek::eek:

Seeing that his previous car was AWD and turbo, I'm thinking its something along those lines....SKYLINE!
