Ready for the snow?

Was going to change the oil/plugs in the Focus, looks like that'll have to wait until next week. Looks like the snow is stopping out here as I write this post. The driveway is covered in ice from the rain/snow we had last week, so shoveling hasn't been a walk in the park. To be honest, I really don't mind the snow at all, it's great for my photography, and even better for my social life. Hopefully we can make it out to Middletown for some sledding tonight.

Seems it wants to snow every day I have to work in Boston. Other than that minor inconvenience, it's been good.
I need to figure out if I should address the ice dam on my rooftop. No current water damage, but there are some faint spots along that wall/ceiling from years past.

They are, but I don't see them doing anything about it unless I had a flood coming down the wall. They're postponing all non-critical repairs due to budget issues. (I also got hit with a reserve assessment and increased dues this year.) Can't hurt to open a work order tomorrow, though.

Yeah, they basically ignore anything at my complex until the complaints bother them enough. We have a new board member that really wants to get things rolling on changes at the complex. People are not paying their condo fees and no one is going after them so they continue to not pay. There is over $6000 owed by people throughout the complex.

Same here. The foreclosures are killing us, I think.
"As of January 20, 2011 there are 13 Units over 90 days past due owing a total of $34,803.59."

Looking forward to a lovely trip home tonight at midnight. Went from 5 miles away from work to 27 miles away. We moved just in time for this snowy winter, great!!! :).

34k is def rent money missed by people, if u don't pay by the tenth day of the month u get a letter to pay and then at the end of the month ur out....they will change the locks on the 1st.....and no lie the cougar with torsen and snows is a beast in this weather, better then my service van

ah, much better .... but still had trouble getting the snow up over the sides of the driveway!

Holy crap! How many units in your complex? Mine is small with only 36 units so I wouldn't expect it to ever be that high but 34k is nuts!

another awesome 8-10 inches last night.
going to have to spend some time tonight clearing my roof off, i have almost 2 feet on it in some spots.

The association called a roofer who will show up someday. It's not actually bringing water in the house yet so it's not a priority order. Some of the icicles in my neighborhood are pretty spectacular.
Tony - 150 units.

My moms roof started leaking like crazy with this storm. It started last time and they had already planned a replacement roof in the spring. It looks like it may happen sooner. The kitchen and bathroom ceilings are literally falling onto the floor in a matter of only a few days.

So my idiot brother decided that he was too busy to shovel or clear his car from the last two storms while home over winter break. I showed up at my moms yesterday and found this. The entire top of the driveway untouched with 3 feet of snow.

And two hours later with nothing but a shovel.....

I still need to go back and clear the Mystique and shovel around it again. Hopefully the roof didn't cave in from the weight.
