My New T-Red

Ya man! Great to see you are getting another one to fix up. You and Todras did a great job getting everything to look good and original and such.

Congrats on such a rare car!

Car was just delivered to CJ. We definately have our work cut out getting it back together. It's going to look so sweet leading a pack at SZ '10.

It's first Michigan sunrise in about a dozen years:

I'm at work now so I can't put up any more pics (I should have been at work when I posted those pics :) )

Once I can get it washed I'll get a new thread going. Todd and I found some interesting "early build" stuff on this car.

What's the difference between these and regular SVT's? As far as performance goes? Or are they just basically purpose built track Contours, roll cage, weight reduction, etc?

These modifications appear to differ from car to car. This car was the first one so not all the mods transferred to the others. This one actually has a crash bar around the fuel cell unlike the others. The roll cage is also different. You can actually sit comfortably in the driver seat which is the best difference IMO.

I thought I remember reading somewhere that the bondurant cars had a/c but the WOT throttle a/c disengage was disabled. They wanted a/c for doing laps on in the AZ heat. Interesting to see this one has it removed.
