Definitely knauberize that thing! The only thing is that the paint might be worse behind the ding guard, so only pull back a little bit at first and decide from there if you're going to take it all the way off. I used fishing test line and it worked great along with a little goo gone and wax/clay afterwards. :cool: Just take your time with it
 
Joe what kind of and brand of wax did you use? It really looks good from what it LOOKED like. wow impressive!
 
just some mequires shiat that I got at walmart for 80% off kuz no one was buying it.... it is in a metal jar and you rub the applicator in it, not a liquid squirt form. Works pretty good after a claybar job. Claybar was used with mequires quick detail.


I picked up a cowl hood from craigslist and it is just faded a little. I could either wetsand/clear or paint it black, just not sure if I want the CF look or just paint it black.....

Well, I am painting the cowl hood black.

Found out some more wierd things last night.....

-no key in ignition, turn lights on and the radio turns on :eek:!

-start car, parking/dash lights turn on :ponder:.

-The trunk harness wires must have been stretched too far when the trunk closes and just tore them apart. I fixed those and notched out the plastic trunk arm guard so the wire would be loose when the trunk is closed.

-confirmed that the antenna motor was trashed

-can't turn off siren on alarm with the key fob. Lock/unlock from the fob won't activate. I have to physically put the key in the driver's door to stop the alarm :shrug:.
 
My car did something weird like that too. If I had my high beams on and turn the key off and pulled it out the car kept running. It wasn't till I turned my lights that my car shutoff. Only did it a few times.
 
I believe in my first CSVT, the owner before me did something with the radio's wiring to get it to turn on with the light knob.
 
New CF cowl hood, rear bumper, and rear reflector are going in for paint soon. My new headlights are in and are going on probably tomorrow. I am going to the DMV today finally to register/plate it.

custom plate choices:
1. CONTURD
2. 2K SVTC

I am hoping for the first one because it makes me giggle every time I think about it.

Chrome FSVT wheels to go on soon as well :drool:.

That's where we are different, I WOULD! haha

I put the new lights on last night:drool:, and brought the cowl hood and rear reflector into work today to get some liquidy smooth black paint :drool::drool::drool::drool:
