blu's satin black SVT project

I've got a question, how are you guys finding out the build date and #? I heard somewere that your have to pay money to SVT and they send you an official document of your SVT

check out the registry thread. just search registry and it comes up in the top few. You call svt(the number is in the thread) and if you get a nice guy(it took me two calls on different days) you can get the build # free. You have to pay for the certificate to get the build date though, which costs $40. I said the given dates because his car #1902 fits in a gap in the registry of cars with those build dates.

So probably on 1-27-00. I will get the cert. for this car eventually.

...think they found the build date using holes in the build numbers of the registry, Joe...
 
Well damn it all! - some freaking time after the 26th to the end of January 2000, I don't give a crap.
 
haha I thought maybe he knew something they didnt teach me in elementary school :laugh:

but yeah, in the registry, it fits in between 1-26-00 and 1-27-00

and my cars a guy, sorry. He's my wingman for pickin up hot chicks!

I just saw last night that the wires going to the trunk lid are sheer'd off! :eek:. What the hell..... I had no license plat lights or reverse lights.... I hope it was an accident and they didn't cut them because the car was blowing fuses or something like that.

I did find a sweet "bondo" brand dent puller suction thingy ;).

I changed out the drivers door with a black E0 door and it looks like shiat. Also changed out the hood with the blacke E0 one and that looks like shiat too :nonono:. Damn it. I hope someone sees my WTB ad for good black parts. My goal is to not re-paint the entire car, but we'll see.
 
The paint on E0s fades out really bad on most. The hood had a lot of big rusty rock chips. The door has the E0 ding guards which are bigger, different shape, and lower on the door.

dtour and I bought the black E0 for parts before I got the 2k svt.

I clay bar'd & waxed the door, mirrors, and hood tonight. It was driving me crazy how bad they looked. Here are some sweet before and after of some areas. I'm really happy with it and would probably be content, but that stupid E0-E1 ding guard difference pisses me off. Anyone have some tips for removing the guard without damaging the door?
