The "OFFICIAL" 2009 Fall Dragon Run Thread!

Well all that torque you have in your Jeep will keep the Honda guys in check!

For the road trip, I'd just put the cruize on the Jeep and hope for somewhere around 18 mpg:crazy::crazy::crazy: but the flip side of that is all the power and grip you've got in that bad boy, should be a handful, but in a good way!

JC, I will be leaving the metro Detroit area 5:30 a.m. sharp, so I expect to be passing your neck of the woods close to 6:00 a.m. and you'll easily be able to meet up with us on I-275 S as I take that way right into I-75:cool:

6 am!? G'Laaaawd! That's about the time I'm taking my healthy Morning release.

Hopefully by then I'll have my GPS, just for the heck of it. Plus I'll give you my cell so you can keep watch for Bears as I close in behind you.

(Bear = trucker talk for the po-po.)

i now need to find new mesh, lower front at least. i hit a fox thursday while doing about 60MPH and it tore up the front mesh. thankfully everything else seems to be ok, although the cracks that were in the underside of the bumper might be a little longer now.

animal destruction in an svt FTL

What's the deal with all the animals hits, I guess better watch for coons, rats and possums out where I live:crazy:

JC, as you know the trip down there is about a half a day, so an early start is a must! If it were up to me, I'd be leaving alot sooner, trust me, nothing like having the entire road to yourself, its very underated to say the least:cool: As far as your "movement" goes, well, that's what the Waffle House is for, LOL!

I've got a possible front wheel hub bearing starting to go bad or a CV joint acting up, so I'm going to have my work check that out Monday and then see if the MINI warrenty covers it, seeing that I've only got 300 more miles till it hits 50K, but might get the extended warrenty REAL soon though. I've also gotta change out the plugs and do a coolant flush, thank God I work where I do:cool:

Tennesse/Auburn game is that weekend. DO NOT go to Gatlinburg. DO NOT go to Knoxville. Try to stay away from Maryville if at all possible. Tellico/Robbinsville is cool. Head further east into North Carolina. Go to the casino.

Thanks for the heads up Eric:cool: Now it looks like we'll be running the Devils Triangle on Friday, leaving early to get there, then looking for somewhere to have lunch on the Triangle and maybe heading home taking the Dragon:shrug: I mean it could be getting dark by then and for those who aren't comfortable running the Dragon at night time I'm sure there is one of you in that group with a GPS, right? That worked out great last year with Randy using his GPS in the Caddy.

That is a huge rivalry weekend and I've gotta cheer on my adopted team for the weekend....GO VOLS!

That is a tough call Last year's night time activities led to two different scary situations. Those of you that went to the Dragon had a Chupacabra encounter, and the folks who headed back relived a scene from deliverance, banjos and everything.

Oh noes! I just got an email from the CEO that they scheduled a farking sales meeting for the 30th - 2nd! This is the big meeting for my brand so there's no way to get out of it.

I doubt they have an itinerary set for the meeting yet so there is a very slim chance I could get in and out on the 30th, but it is very unlikely. I'll talk to my boss but I would say at this point it's about 99% sure that I'll have to cancel my reservations.

So pissed! I was so excited for this!

This is sooooo going to screw up our AVG MPG! :)

I hope you can get yourself put on the beginning of the agenda.

oh noes is right man! Dang I hope you can figure something out. Let the boss man know you have had reservations set for a while now and see if it will help your cause any lol.

This doesn't sound like the kind of meeting that he can get out of. The only solution that might work is to keep your mouth shut and suddenly get sick the day before. I would not suggest this if you like your job and where you career is headed. This would kill you if you got caught or anybody suspected it.

No real way out of it. We have about 25 sales people that attend this + a grip of other marketing personnel from other divisions, our GM, CEO, and CEO of the North American group. The fall meeting is "the big one" for my brand as I present the plan for the upcoming year. Can't really duck it if I want to keep my job

Work comes first but if something changes you know where we're going to be. Once you know beyond a shadow of doubt you can cancel your reservations unless you were rooming up with someone, in that case I'm sure someone will take your place:cool:

BTW, has anyone gotten any "noobs" to go:shrug: I'm pretty sure once it gets closer Pete will join us again, so there's another car going that isn't on our list and I'm faily certain that one or two guys from xceedspeed will go too:cool:
