Pole120 is running 235 on 17x7s....still shopping for light weight 17x8 / 17x8 1/2

what offset are you running on those wheels? and whats the profile of the tire? i ran 225/45/17 like suggested and i didnt like them. too much squish imo when driving them hard. wish i would have went with 40s.

we can make you 17x8, 8.5 or 9s. 8 being the most affordable by far. and that's also depending on what you consider "affordable" lol. we also have a new option where we can machine away pockets on the rear mounting pads to shave even more weight. we can probably get a 17x8 down to about 13lbs or so.

13lbs...sweet! Mine wheels weigh 15lbs on the nose....so I dont think I will fear over 8lbs....although it all adds up on these tuna's!! I cant believe this CSVT of mine weighs 3100+....my 79 notch weighed 2880 in FULL street trim back in the day with a built 351w and C6 tranny!! Its WAY lighter nowadays!

Offset is +45mm I believe. The tires are 235/40/17 and i couldn't be happier with them, just want to get the use of the full contact patch now. PM me and we'll talk pricing, as finding what I want is proving difficult.

Been thinking...what if we drill the hubs out for a different bolt pattern with more wheel options?? 4x108 is kinda a weird pattern to find alot of lightweight race wheels for...and put hardened Moroso studs or something like my Moser axles in my stang? I know you would have to drill the rotors too...but can and should this be done?

Still curious about my quote earlier...then we could have a WIDE aray of wheel choices!! Probably expensive as hell and time consuming to do...but if your gonna race...wouldnt it be worth the lighter and wider race wheels we could find with a different bolt pattern??

Moser does it to their axles...so I thought...why not do it to our hubs?? Sorry mods....we prob. need a new thread for this conversation...

Specifically Rara's post.

Ok. I dont mean a 5 lug conversion...cause it aint easy to do on these cars like it is my 79 Stang. I mean just drill 4 new holes in a more favorable bolt pattern inbetween the holes for the stock studs. Still 4 lug...just a better pattern with more rim choices. I am happy with the wheels I have....its just a thought for somebody racing these like rob and josh.
