For those of you that are coming to Carlisle and need a hotel room, book soon!!

It appears that the Hotel Carlise is already booked, no rooms left. The hotel that is right next to the Hotel Carlisle is the Econo Lodge: http://www.econolodgecarlisle.com/

We hang out in the gazebo at night at the Hotel Carlisle, if you stay at the Econo Lodge you can walk over.

So if you are planning on going you'd better book a room soon!

Of course you are welcome to stay where you'd like. I posted the info about the Econo Lodge in case you wanted to be close (walking distance) to where many of us are staying.
 
Hmmm, maybe ill stay at one of the 4 hotels down the street from me lol. Seriously though there are 4 hotels right down the street from me and there is highway and turnpike access right next to them. If some of you are looking for a place to stay im sure these places wont be completely booked. Then we could all ride in a convoy down to carlisle together.:cool:

We don't mind having an Escort GT ITB among us. :) The Carlisle folks may want you to park with the Escorts on Saturday (judging day) but otherwise, I don't think they'll mind you parking with us. We have a Fusion that will be parking with us for a while too.

We should plan another junkyard run since it's getting warmer.

I'll do my Carlisle reg. real soon.

Junk yard run was to happen this weekend, for Volvo parts, but weather won't allow.

May take the EGT to Island Dragway for a test and tune, just to see is a week's worth of fiddle by me engine guy has corrected an engine down on power at 4000 RPMs

Again, weather dictates.

Meanwhile, I am tuning the twin SU carbs on my '69 Volvo 144s (the black one you saw last junkyard run). The '96 Toyota Avalon needs a couple things for this month's inspection, and my '86 Volvo 244 needs a steering rack, rear main engine seal and rust repair.

It's June. I'm cheap, so, I'll be camping. But I'll still come over to hang out!
 
I am sorry but I will not be able to make Carlisle this year. My wife is making me go to her nephew's wedding so I willl be out of town. I probably will still have a Contour next year so hope to see you all next year. Carlisle was something I always looked forward to and am disapointed I can not make it.

Well, since I might be buying something for the front of the car...and now I need either 2 or 4 tires AND an alignment, Carlisle is looking more like a dream instead of a reality. :shrug:

And uh...4 tires are NOT going to be cheap. :help:

And FWIW , Rich's chair was left behind at Carlisle 2 yrs. ago - I forgot to pack it last year , so I still have it :eek:

Lol, actually it would be the same, if not better. I plan on being so intoxicated while I'm there that I probably won't be very coherent. :laugh:
