I'm sure you either have to pick one or the other i.e. "lower force" for CF or the regular kit for stock hoods, but I still thought I'd ask for myself and anyone else in the same boat. I wouldn't want to have to buy 2 pair of these.

So.... if i got the "lower force" struts for the CF hood applications, is it safe to say that it will not be strong enough when I switch back to my stock hood during the winter? Even if it lifted the stock hood slow that would be fine...just wondering if it would hold it up.

It will hold your stock hood....it will also have some strenght to lift the hood

Is it possible to remove the stock hood prop rod? I figure, what's the point of having it if i'll have the gas springs. I looked at it briefly, but it was too cold to figure out how.
