What did you do to your Contour today?

Too funny Jerrry...I new this (never doubted).....yes, loads of restraint you exercised here!!!

Haha! Felt awesome to see that 30MPG! Tonight I replaced the transistor in my IMRC and heat sink compound to help make my IMRC last longer. I got 2 transistors in case anyone else might need one. It cost me $2 after shipping so if you have IMRC problems and need to replace yours let me know! Seems to be solid now... I replaced the cover just to see how well it works with some heat and it was perfect. Now I'll remove the cover just to make me feel better.

I didn't do this "today", but 2 weekends ago I took the chrome strip with the Ford emblem off the back of my trunk reflector to paint it. I already painted from from chrome grille surround Toreador Red, and I was torn on whether I wanted to paint this rear piece Toreador Red, or black. I went with red, and I have a few extra of these chrome things so I might do one in black to see how I like it.

Unfortunately, I was unable to remove the Ford emblem without damaging it. So for now, I just painted this emblem Toreador Red until I can remove one of these emblems without damaging them, or find a black Ford emblem that fits in there.

I'm working on making my own custom HVAC face and gauge faces over the next few weeks. Tired of the green back-lighting at night. I already changed the LED's in all my power window and door lock switches to red, and plan on doing the same for the back-lighting on everything else. I'll post pictures of that when I get there!

P.S. Although it might look like I painted my reflector too, I did not. Mine is just a little dull, but have a nicer replacement reflector and tail-lights on the way. My current tail-lights have cracks in the lens that you can see at night.

That looks pretty good! I like the look of the exhaust too... something tells me I would like the sound of it even more! The car looks great, the Focus wheels are a perfect match for these cars IMHO!

When I saw the picture, I did think you painted the reflector, which saddened me a little till I read otherwise. I like how our cars are total thieves at night, stealing the light from cars behind us to make itself look cooler.

Thank you! And to be honest, the exhaust isn't that noticeable. Maybe I'm just going deaf and/or I'm used to driving something louder and much more aggressive sounding, but this Borla definitely doesn't sound aggressive at all. I need to get a friend to do some video taping from behind me while I drive around. But all I have is the Borla cat-back with a high-flow 3rd cat, everything else is stock. Yes, the Focus wheels should have come on these cars.... a perfect match!!

Haha yeah after I posted the picture I noticed it kind of looked like I painted it, so decided to put that disclaimer up just in case. :) I'm not even sure what the rear of my car looks like at night with headlights shining toward it. Might have to check it out, and find a way to light up the reflector if I end up liking it haha.

simple things ... moved the SVT from the place we are renting to the new house ... the SeVT will move later this weekend from its storage location.

Got her out of winter slumber. Oil change with Mobil 1 EP and mobil 1 filter. Took it up to my buddies shop and drained/replaced coolant and brake fluid due to age. Changed belts also due to age. Went over her while on the lift, all good. Went for a nice ride for about an hour or so.

Still getting Roxy ready for the road trip for the 04/19 meet. Suspension and alignment complete. Today new wipers, replacing the old non-functioning auto-dimming mirror with a new (used) one, swapped in the aluminum pedals.

Ripped out my super dead ass odyssey battery. No jump. Charger says full...Trying to save it before warranty exchange. Pita!!!

Easy now!! I will end up parking my '95 Tour two blocks away and have to hike in must save face ;-)

Gave mine a bath yesterday and tried to track down the strangest "squeak" ever... And drove her a couple hundred miles around Longview and Portland with the family for spring break... Great week!

Yes, very nice color there, BeApple!!! Jerry - where is the "squeak" coming from, general area? I recall the dash plastic is affected by termperature changes, hence squeaks come and go.

Wow! Great looking paint, and engine bay! Where can I see more pics?!?!

I have posted a number of photos in the past.

Btw it's a factory color that the car came in. I had the car painted when the SVT kit was put on the car.

It almost sounds like it's coming from my Y pipe... It's when I very slightly rev the motor up in the lower than 2k RPM range then as the RPMs fall and it goes away at idle and is never a constant even at the same rpm. Might be an exhaust leak? Can those have a slight squeak? I can only hear it with the windows down. Not IN the car.

Not today but Sunday took my fiance's (my old SVT) to Watkins Glen for some laps. The old beast did great for a car with 182k on the clock, got some decent laps in and got to really heat up the brakes :)
