tuning?s

well lucky you!!! that makes your job a lot easier and messier!!! trust me. did you break the studs in the ypipe or the rear studs in the manifold?

Well that would explain the codes.
ya but y would it take that long to set them off. ive have been driving the car since sept & never had that code & the previous owner didnt have MILs on it.

i broke a stud on the "Y" & the manifold. the 1 thats on the manifold of course has to be on the rear mani & the 1 on the Y is of the front. @ least it s 1 from each side that way i was able to hold it back up. it doesnt have a complete seal. but drivable. im hoping i can get it over by my brother in laws tomarrow to get that fixed.

its nice the gutting was done it just sux i didnt know & broke those bolts for nothing.

what is that?

well i just tried looking them up. i saw what they look like but dont understand really. are they just to set the o2 back father so its not actually in the manifold & not reading the exhaust going thru

well i was finally able to get the tune done. it runs so much nicer now. it doesnt feel as torquey as it was b4. but b4 it was consistant, sometimes bottom end would pull reall hard & not @ top end & other times it would be vise versa,it would bog @ bottom end & pull @ top end. but now it seems to be alot more constant. it still pulls nicely. but i also havent really gotten on it to see how it really feels. heres my print out from it

Ok so I put the other tune on the day , the( gas saver tune). I filled up the tank & under low acceleration or coasting the car seems to jerk. If I get on it a little it wont do it or when I had the other tune. Is it bad gas or bad tune setup.

I had the other tune on there 1st & it didnt do it with that 1. I switched to the other tune the other day it was fine, then I filled the tank yesterday & thats when it started. Thats y I was thinking mayb bad gas. But would gas cause that to jerk like it does

thats why switch back and check. it takes all 2 minutes for the tune to load.
my bets on the tune though. thats all i have.
hope you git er done

ya i switched back & it runs alot better with the other tune. i also noticed he had the idle speed set @ 728 so it was also idling rough to. turned that up to the 778.

ya if mine is anywhere below 750 it gets rough. so i turned it up a little . its so much smoother now. if i step on the brake my idle doesnt drop anymore. does yours idle rough @ those rpms. cuz mine when its below 750 you can feel the whole car shaking

mine slighty shakes. nothing that makes me notice it everytime. but i can hear it from my exhaust pretty good how it drops when i press the brake. and also my roll restrictors are filled so everything is rough.lol

ya my roll restrictors are filled to. mine would shake pretty hard & then sometimes it would even drop down to about 500 or so & get real bad. but even when it was @ 728 it was pretty rough. rough enough that i would have to hold the gas down just a hair to keep up & not shake so bad

ya well thats y when i switched to the other tune i saw i could adjust the idle speed. so i turned it up a little now & it idles smooth now. it doesnt drop like it used to or shake. i see theres quite abit i can adjust with the tuner but im scared to mess with anything on it. im afraid il mess something up.

thats the reason i like street tunes vs dyno tunes. you cant get a feel for it and how it'll act in the real world.

NPG is great and joey's tune is pretty on point with just a discussion of the parts I had. I have yet to hit up a strip and get some good datalogs for him to finish me up, but I'm still making changes to my setup...
