The "official" 2011 Fall Dragon Run thread...Oct 6th-9th

The guy owns his own tuning company out in Cali (Basis Tuning) and those wheels are Spoons and some people on the forum bash those wheels because they look like STi wheels....imagine the nerve! Some even have bashed the offset, as in it needs to come out more. Its hard to believe but even over there this stuff happens and heaven forbid you actually but wheels with an offset that actually DO SOMETHING besides look good:shrug:

I can't wait to get my rims because it will change the way the entire car looks. I may go aftermarket but there's a chance I will get some RSX type S rims but I'd have to meet the guy half way and that would be somewhere in Missouri. If I do that, I've gotta meet him at a Discount Tire and get new tires and my TPMS installed too.

If anyone knows someone with an 07' Civic that needs tires and/or is looking to get rims and tires but doesn't wanna spend a bunch of money, let them know I'll have my stockers for sale in the spring, thanks guys!

Honestly, this is the best dash I've seen. My uncle had one. The radio on the right would rotate so the passenger could see it.

I wish I would have known, I would have email Top Gear.

What the hell is that dash attached to?

Matt, what year and mods does this V have? Also, what color is it?

Something GM that Roger doesn't know? WTF is going on!? LOL
It is getting closer to 2012.
Its from a 1985 Camaro.
I don't have a particular V just yet. Ill have to sell both the L and the CSVT first. Looking at buying a red one. The color similar to the tour. Since I don't trust anyone else's work, ill mod it myself.

I saw Belinetta but don't remember EVER seeing a dash in a Camaro like that, crazy! Looks like Knight Rider a little bit but all those lights, orange and red, digital and standard gauges, looks like GM was trying to hold on to the past and bring the future together that never really caught on. I mean I know my car has digital as well as the S2K but that digital stuff from the 80's seemed to stay there....back in the past!

Matt, you'll enjoy that V for sure, just remember that issue with the rearend (maybe just drop a 9" Ford in it!). Where you'll not be able to enjoy the Dragon as much the Skyway will take on an entirely whole new meaning!!! Seems to me that car needs not much more than an intake and good exhaust to make a HUGE gain and I'm sure there's a tune for it too!

Again, not the same color but they look awesome on the EVO, huh Hectour!

This is the wheel I'm going with on the CR-Z. Hectour and I always come to the same conclusion when looking at www.tires.com and going to the configurator. The size will be 17 x 7 wrapped in....well, you guys know:crazy: I'd like to run their 17 x 8 but I bet I'd have to roll the fenders for an 8" wheel. I guess the thing I need to figure out is whether to go with a 225/45 or a 215/45. Its recommended to run a 205/45 but I've already seen the 225/45 on the CR-Z w/ stock suspension and it looks great but at the end of the day do I need to go 30 mm wider, really:confused:

Yes wider is better. 185/70/13 is stock for my car, 195/65/14 is stock for a Corollas GTS. Your car is much heavier than a 2000lb 1986 model. And really, 195 wasn't quite wide enough with my old 66bhp motor, so I'd expect to roll some fat meat next year, too. Go 225 wide. I had 235's on my Golf and it was solid on stock suspension.

Think I found my wheels, too. 13x7 with some 205/50/13's :D Function over form baby!

Those are very cool, although I like the rims you've got right now too! What color would you paint them or are you going to leave them black like that? They kinda look like the wheels the NASCAR cars had in the 70's.

Yeah I know wider is better but the thing I'm looking at is the gain in handling worth the loss in mpg going from a 7" to a 8" wheel, remember, my stock set up is 16 x 6, so going to the 17 x 7 is already a HUGE improvement already. The 8" Weapon has a +42 or 43 offset, so a tad more out but not too much but if anything that's ok since the wheel is so much wider. I'm pretty sure its going to be the 17 x 7. I was considering going with 17 x 7 up front and running a 215/45 and then running a 17 x 8 out back with a 235/40 to give it a unique look. I mean I know I couldn't rotate them but that's not the end of the world really.

I'll leave em whatever color they come! Aero Wheels (who is a sponsored or NASCAR) makes wheels in whatever gay colors you want now. Although I might still just hold out for some deep SSR mesh or Work Equips or Hoshino G5 or......

There was talk of staggered wheel set up for my car, the S2K wheels in 17" wheels were on a guys car on the forum and they look awesome but what the guy did to move them out was install 15mm spacers all the way around, I can't do that as I'm sure its not the best for handling. The pics are awesome though, guys runnin' 255's on the rear but I for one want function over form when it comes to this sort of thing for sure.

Now Eric, those Centerlines are NICE and like you said, easy to clean but those gold mesh wheels in the first pic:drool::drool::drool: I also like those SUPER FUNKY wheels you posted last.
