The "official" 2011 Fall Dragon Run thread...Oct 6th-9th

I like that idea Randy, now i think it should have the "interstate 129" logo just in that open space to the left of the line. That would be neat. (possibly erase that little bit of 28??)


And an update for me.


I guess my dad will be coming with.... I'll try and talk him into driving the GA, or even the floppy wang mustang because i know he'll be •••••ing the entire time about my driving if he rides with me.
 
I like the idea of the route outline, but it seems like most of the the shirts that you can get at one of the shops up there have the route on it. So if it's unique you want, this isn't it. It's just a copy of all the other shirts already up there. I don't know how hard it would be, but if you could make a fairly simple 'Tree of Shame' that was easily recognizable, I think that would make a very unique shirt.

This one would be different because it is just the route and nothing else. Most of the shirts sold there that have the route also have a fire breathing dragon lady on it. I like the tree of shame idea and that was my original idea. I will definitely have a screen print made of my artist's hand drawing of the tree of shame with parts hanging off of it. Feel free to throw out any other ideas guys.
 
I don't know, we've had a few parts for the Tree of Shame in the past... although I don't know how I could include a faulty fuel pressure regulator in my case. :crazy:

Anyways, here's what I'm on about. Simple with nothing shouty.

So i'm going to try and convince my dad to just drive the GA instead of riding with me. He was •••••ing about how stiff the GA was the other night, i told him i'll put 10k coils on the miata, slam it, and install racing seats. (not gonna happen) Dunno...

Exactly and yeah, white shirt with just that route in red would be nice but I'm thinking something on the back like, now I'm just brain storming here so maybe someone will see what I put up and run with it or maybe like my idea to go along with it....

In order to include the Skyway, I have come up with a different version of ly above post. Basically, flip that image upside down and have the Dragon map connected to the Skyway map. Not exactly brilliant, but neither am I.

draw it out so I can see what you are talking about. I like your Adidas stripe idea, and I would like to modify it a bit. I am thinking of the three stripes being an image of a two lane road (solid line on either side, dashed line in the middle). it would then turn into a solid line and squiggle in the form of the turns of the tail of the dragon. Like a stretch of road that turns into a course outline. I would then do the US129 logo that we all bought as stickers (The 129 numbers in a shield like design, but there is a dragon tail along the bottom (See link below).

Randy I'm having trouble with my crude MS Paint trying to draw what you're thinking. I think I got ya, but Paint is primitive and I can't make anything look better than what a 3 year old could do.

The Dragon and route 129 are one in the same, Eric is onto something here for sure, even with the "boring road" in the pic it looks like a "ring" and like I said....

Twice the number of turns of that "other" Ring!

Once we see the final product, I can almost see the sticker having that on it:shrug: I'm sure I can have 10th anniversary CEG Fall Dragon Run on the top and 2003-2012 on the bottom. I do like the simple gumball idea with the number 10 though, easier to see on a sticker and gets your attention because of the overall design there but for the T-shirt, Eric and Randy are all over it:cool: Now I haven't heard anything about the idea of getting "fitted" T-shirts though?
