When I push in the clutch my rpms go up. What would cause this? This doesn't happen all the time but it happens often. On a lighter side it's great when im shifting up in gears. But it sucks when people think that i'm trying to get them off the line at a stop light. Also i believe this is wearing down my brakes faster. HELP PLEASE:shrug:

I'm guessing 2.5l? Do a search on throttle hang. Other problems could be TPS sensor, but usally will throw a CEL.

Do you have any check engine lights? Common problems are vacuum leaks, throttle position sensor, and idle air control valve. This happened to me a lot, turns out it was a combination of the TPS and a vacuum leak.

I had this problem before. The first owner broke the tab off on the bottem of the SVT air filter housing, so dirt was getting past the filter. I took an old toothbrush and a little carb cleaner and cleaned the Trottle Body. I manualy moved the "butterfly" to clean the Throttle Body. Be careful not to let all the stuff go down into the UIM, its good to keep it all as clean as possible.
So, my RPMs would fly when I would engage the clutch. After cleaning... No problems.

I test drove it and didn't have any problems with rpm stick. I now notice that there is throttle lag between 0 to 3500 rpms. One problem fixed. Thanks guys for the awesome info.
