"THE" Official 2010 Fall Dragon Run...Oct 7th thru 10th!

Thought I would let everyone know where I am at. I currently got an alignment at a Honda dealership. After word I got under the car to check things after my clutch and make sure everything was fine. my Swap bar end links were hot, and my lower control arm was shot. So The adjustment cam was stuck in the bushing. I think when I had an alignment done they tore my bushing. I also was hearing some things today after I completed the new control arm. Got under the car for the 5th time and found that my toe adjustment nut was loose! Awesome! Called the dealership up and they said that sis not right and to bring it in.

I am bringing the car in to the dealership in the morning 7:45 sharp! The good news is, I have a lot of new parts, and when I am done toying this, I am will finish putting my swap bar and end links on the car.

Wednesday morning I am taking off my rear coil overs, and then stiffening them, I need a spring compressor of course to do this. Then I will be ready for the trip. Just have to clean the car. :']

Is anyone planning on coming to my house to check out the Daytona on any of the days they are down here? If so, Im on night shift and should be awake between Noon-4pm starting Thursday night through Sunday. Drop me an email to oneblacksvt@yahoo.com if you are coming down.

Everything looks bright in pics Hectour:troutslap: What are my HIDs, 35w or 55w?

Wait till you guys see Hectours custom made rear foglight...LED with so many bulbs I forgot:crazy:

I think us Chicago/Michigan guys have about 60 hrs to go:cool:
Yours are 35w...just like my HIDs.

Great, I'm the only moron with 55w bulbs. I tried pming Kevin about the wattage but he never answered. I'll take my stock bulbs with.

aim them down a little bit and i bet you wont have any problems. I did this with both of my old Contours and ever person ive talked to who i followed behind said they had no problems with my HIDs being offensive. since you have HIDs you will still have plenty of light on the road.

Wow. My bad. So you know when you want to meet? It should be under 8 hours without stops.

I'll call you once we are on the road. Don't know how long it will take to get to the pizza place. I am guessing we will get there sometime around 1pm.

Billy, I'd say food for what, 25 people or so. Not sure who's all doing the night run on Friday, but there's going to be a number of people who aren't, so you could cook out on Friday night as well. IMO though, spend the good money on the brats and buns, a less on the side dishes, hell, I'd be happy with pretzels just keep it more simple and easy. I'll be happy with whatever and have money set aside for it anyways, even singles to help out with people that drop the $20's into the kitty.

Josh, I'm not sure if anyones coming by to check out the car, the window of time is kinda bad but if someone can swing it, please let Josh know, thanks.

We've got about 47 hrs to go, actually less than that and I can now see the run and it looks good, really good!

Randy, I just noticed something in your sig....EXHAUST;)

Hectour is:jerry: going?

Got back from the Honda dealership about a hour ago now. Went really early (: they took care of me. They did as they should have. They said the new hardware I installed really helped them. I am now heading down to my buddies shop to compress my coilovers to stiffer the rear (:

Yes. I'm going. Got the time off. Just got the parts in. Hopefully after work I can fix everything and put them on so I can head out without delay.

We do infact have a brand, spankin' new Genesis coupe going with us, the guy Evan traded the Fit in on it. Its red, 2.0T w/6spd and track pack to boot, so that should be a good ride out there, just hope he breaks it in along the way. Last year Alex's buddies car had 1k on it, but drove it like it had no K on it, even I was struuuugling behind him sometimes.

Dillion and Jim are also bringing their grills, so we're going to be all set there. We could cook 3 different types of foods at one time, Italian sausage, beer brats and burgers. Buns out of the bag and food right off the grill....in the coolness of the evening, it makes the food taste that much better too!

Hey Jerry, we're meeting at the South Holland oasis at 5:30 a.m. and grabbing a quick bite to eat, fueling up and heading out so we can meet Dan at this restaraunt by 11:30 a.m. EST, just wanted to remind you incase Hectour didn't. Glad you got the car all squared away!

46 hours to go, give or take a couple minutes!

I am getting antsy!!! Tomorrow is going to be long day at work! Let me know what I owe for the food on Thursday!! Weather looks great, sun and upper 70s the whole time we are down there!

Oh yeah, we might have another Saab 9-3 down there!! The guy is from Chicago but will be down that way for work and might swing through on Saturday to meet up with us!

I just got a little gift right before the trip...genuine leather Honda shift knob, blue stitching! Now I'll have something to rest my hand on that feels like the quality the rest of the interior has, that vinyl one was soooo cheap:rolleyes: Its also something else to lather up with Griots, in addition to the steering wheel, man I miss leather seats, oh well, maybe next time:shrug:

Hey Derek, hope that guy does come out there and meet up with us, not sure where we'll be at what time but he can always meet us down towards the end of the Dragon at our meeting spot though, depending what time he gets out there. I'd say we'll be around that area 3-ish if I had to guess. On Saturday we're all going straight out there, no stops and hopefully we don't run into an traffic in our run (yeah, right, Saturdaty afternoon:rolleyes:)

We're about O.J. Simpson number of hours to go! Oh wait, Franco Harris number of hours to go, the juice is in jail:laugh:

Yep...tomorrow is going to be a long day. Just talked to my dad tonight...he is excited.

Roger, Jerry and Erin will be my place at 4:30am so no problems there.

Just got to pack, make sure I got everything, and clean up the car (just a pre-trip ritual). Burned some CDs and have to rearrange my CDs and DVDs for the trip.

im in the middle of putting a new water pump gasket on, it was leaking when it was cold and the pump itself is basically brand new. it also didnt start to leak till i blew the coolant hoses so i suspect running it dry and hot for a short time blew out the gasket. at least i hope the pump is still fine. even if its still leaking a little bit it will be there thursday for lunch.
