The 6th annual Fall Dragon Run thread!

...I posted earlier about collecting money for Dixie because she lost her Mom while we were booking our cabins, but I felt wierd about asking everyone because for alot of you it was your first time down there, so I left her a "tip" for taking care of me, did anyone else do anything (you don't have to say what you did either) and btw, noone is going to be mad at you if you didn't do anything either, I'm just curious:shrug:

I forgot all about that.

Had a great time for the short while I was there. Karen said she felt real bad for not coming up with me. Poor thing didn't even wake up until we were almost done changing wheels.

We're really looking forward to next year. Maybe my car will be clean enough to look at. :nonono:

Eric, I didn't notice your car was a mess:shrug:and we're looking forward to you and the new lady coming out with us, its been too long for one of my original "tour guides" of the Dragon for sure! Maybe next year will be the year where we take over the entire complex that's called Caney Creek Village, imagine that discount!!!

Keep your idea out there for next year and if someone is lucky enough to live near the Devils Triangle, can you you scope it out for us and help setting that days activities up:shrug: I was thinking we could either stay at our usual cabins, drive out to the Triangle from there and then run and drive back, this way we get to do a cruize this time, something different, in a way. The other thing would be to stay somewhere near the Triangle for one day, run it and then head to our cabins, either way though, we'll figure it all out in due time:cool:

I am all for another trip, but I don't think I can stay at the same cabins again. It was a little too dusty for my wife's allergies.

There are other cabins in the area, right by that Shell station for instance. Hectour and I were talking last night and said that this years group was the best we'd ever had from a good driving stand point, so tip of the cap to you guys!, well, FWIW coming from us but we liked how everyone drove within their limits:cool:

I don't really know anyone else who would go with me. I know my dad would enjoy it, but I'm not sure how well he would handle being a passenger.

All of my motor head friends live in CO. Not sure if they would be up for the drive. My best bet races bikes, I'm not sure he has anything street legal anymore. He definitely has the equipment to haul it all, and I'm sure he would be able to bring other racing buddies along. They could all share a vehicle/trailer and it might not be too expensive. I'll have to ask.

EDIT: Duhhh, unless Mart_SVT wants to go. He is in town, he should have come up with the FL group this year.

i'm working on 2 people next year. One with a 03 sentra spec-v, and the other just as a passenger.

Great car for the Dragon and as far as bikes go, well, we'd slow them up for sure, so I don't know about them because it might make them feel disconnected from us, but I really don't mind though:shrug: I will say this though, I think we need to have 2 groups/leaders out there next time with a centralized meeting spot, like that clearing area where the TN cop was.

If your talking about Kevin, ill believe it when i see it. remember, he wont make the trip out to your place :laugh::laugh:

i guess i should finally get some music put to the dragon run video and get it uploaded. perhaps it would help convince him.
