but with drivers being equal the car with more power is going to win every time...so what is your point exactly...a good driver in an sho isn't suddenly going to make up for that much of a difference in power period,unless the other driver is just totally incompetent....
but you're assuming that the drivers are equal.
a 96 camaro z28 is about 3400lbs with around 285hp @5200rpms and 325ftlbs tq @2400rpms.
a 96 mustang gt weighs in at about 3000lbs with about 215hp @4400 rpms and 285 ftlbs tq @3500rpms.
where as a 93 SHO is about 3000lbs with 220hp @6200 rpms and 200ftlbs of tq @4800 rpms.
where that power is made is more important than how much is made. if all of your hp is way down low in the power band then it useless, especially in a drag race. more power doesn't mean faster, and if you think that more power means faster you're delusional.
i'm not going on past this. the OP asked which is faster stock for stock a CSVT or a SHO. i say the SHO.
