Spring Zing 2010

I'm still going back and forth with the two shop. I'm not overly impressed with either of their pricing, but if you want xcal tuning, i can get you set up with that shop specifically if need be.

I have 2 places local that I know of. Our shop uses both. One in New Lenox the other in Naperville. Pricing is $400-500 for a full dyno tune. My car will be ready for a tune in less then month.

Phew! That's expensive! At the moment, I would like to build up a 3L hybrid without ripping my car or engine apart. Have the hybrid as complete as possible minus the SVT UIM/LIM and do the swap in about 3 days tops (and shortly before SZ) Then drive up and get'r tuned.

So, I just got off the phone with the event coordinator at the hotel. Apparently there are two rooms reserved. I know there are people that have paid registration and haven't booked a room and many more of you who have at least verbally announced your attendance. Please don't wait until the last minute to do this. As I have had to point out in previous years, most hotels will allow you to cancel a reservation up to 24 hours before check-in. I'm not 100% sure on our hotel, but I can find that out for you if you think it will be an issue (Malcolm, I'm looking right at you).

BTW, if we don't have enough rooms booked by a certain date, I get to personally cover the difference. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Wow, only 2 rooms so far. Come on people!

**Edit**

You have my $$ now.

You should be the third room booked.
Mine has been booked since shortly after the hotel announcement as was Kim's.

They better have my room booked!

**Edit** Just checked my account, they've got it listed. Me thinks someone gave hetfield a wrong number.

I haven't registered yet because I'm waiting to hear what is planned for Friday.
We want to do the Harley museum, but we need to determine when we'll have time to do it. If there won't be time, then we'll do the reduced rate registration.

Well... I'm trying so see what my plans are too... need to get in touch with Mike and also considering my mom lives in the area (near Delafield) seeing where all that plans in...

It's looking like it's going to shape up to be dyno for a few people, and brewery tours for the rest, an option for the breweries will most likely include a trip to new glarus to the home of spotted cow, though, it is a hike, so i expect limited participation in that particular trip. Just the local breweries can easily take up 5 hours of your day. According to my research all the breweries run tours Friday. Miller is an easy one, Sprecher is OK, but Lakefront is the best i've ever done, and they run late with tours on friday. So, my plan is while the Spotted cow cruisers venture out earlier, we can meet up with everyone later in the day for the lakefront tour. followed by many drinkies. :)
