So, I was looking on ebay..... not what you think

...im selling this car cuz i think its a dog...hoof beat...mr ed...

Lots of mixed references here. And a few animals, too. Guess he's a "Heartbeat of America...Today's Chevrolet" guy. I've never heard Mr. Ed made the icon of Ford afficionados. I wonder what Wilbur would say. How did the Mustang become the catch-all reference for the entire company? A front wheel drive car first sold in Europe is the same as a rear wheel drive pony car? A reach, I think.

Where do these people learn their grammar, anyway? I should think you'd have to go to some kind of slipshod school where they actually teach you English that poor. I don't think a lack of learning could generate mechanics that dismal. Rather, I surmise that one would have to put forth some effort. Either way, it shocks me. Why would someone want to speak or write that way in public? I can't explain this any more than wearing awful or inappropriate clothes out of the house.

Bet you my 8 year old paint would put his new paint job to shame :D

My 10yr. old paint with 96,000 on it looks like new too.

Nobody sells brand new headlights for $100...Even knock-offs! If you want original which he is claiming, you need to go OEM. PERIOD! OEM is about $220 for the set IIRC. The rear reflector alone from Teamfordparts.com is $222. OEM Rear tail lamps for the set is $240. That alone your looking at spending almost $700 to bring it back to "show room" and "original".

And FWIW, if the car has 66K miles and was so 'meticulously maintained', the original headlights shouldn't be foggy.

Right on. I didn't post all of that (what Jim wrote) because I knew you guys would be on top of the pricing. $100... LMAO!

I wouldn't have asked him anything if he didn't talk it up like it just came out of the factory.....
I like how he calls us out on the ad

No one talks to you like that. We've got your back Joe. :)

What a tool.

"hey bob whens the last time u got laid? im just tryen to sell a car... why dont you not buy it. some ones gonna. im selling this car cuz i think its a dog...mr bob SVT. i got a conv vette and i want this hoof beat outa my face, and all the pricks that keep maken comments like yours truly.i dont care about your thoughts bob see ya never fag!!hey haw. go eat a apple mr ed.15,5 seconds in the quarter bob, NICE!!"
lol yeah someone will eventually buy it. Some poor, misinformed sob that got the wool pulled over his eyes from this guy's half-truths.

Hi, have we met before? Mi gRamerz is da bomb.

OK, here's what I really asked him...
Dear irondukesmith,
Curious, Why would a car with 66K original miles, meticulously maintained, latest best preserved specimen existing, flawless, collectors item in factory mint condition, NEED NEW PAINT & WINDSHIELD?

Preventive maintenance. I replace my windshield every 50,000 miles. They're not designed to last forever. Why wait till it fails?

"SVT_Bob1961" can be OEM certified down to his dam 1981 ford gremlin underroos.

I had a pair of those.....Mine were AMC Gremlin's though.....

LMAO! First he talks it up like its fast, and now he says its a dog.

Besides that, he doesn't want the beauty of the car to be ruined by a MI winter... but it's okay to take the vette and run it in the snow....

Best Line Ever!!! You need to be in sales...

You are the more eloquent, socially acceptible voice of my thoughts:laugh:

Man don't you guys have anything better to do. Obviously he is a douche...let it go

you guys forgot he doesn't have the hood heat shield , nor does he have the door trims,i think thats what there called:shrug:. i dont see floormats either or the stopper pin for the seat belt. another thing did he full out tint his reverse lights:nonono:can't even see them.

My question:

What's with the tinted headlights? That's a sweet body kit, where did you get it? Does the car have a radio?

His Answer:

no body kit bud, SVT package!! ok the lights arent all that but this minor issue has been addressed at length. has stock CD unit.

He knows something... I guess....

Some SVT's didnt come with hood heat shields. That's one of the things Ford decided to decontent somewhere along the line. My guess is his 2000 didn't come with one.

If someone is buying this to return to stock,....ummmm, I mean, since it is stock, and almost mint, I'll sell the underhood heat shield. Since it's increasing in value every day, someone make me an offer, reserve starting at $1,000, and I'll include the original factory Ford dust that came with it.

I know the standard cars had them decontented but my SVT has one .... and its of course the 13th from the last built ....
