yeah that is possible. but I figure its like the splash shield under the radiator. pre98s and SVTs have them and the rest don't.
 
Laura is build number 1833 from the 2000 model year, and she has the underhood insulator.
 
My old SVT, now TX00SVT's car, had the underhood insulation. It was one of the last 75 SVT's built in 2000.

Did he drop the price? It's set at $4100 now. I thought it was like $4900 before.

$4100 isn't too bad of a price...especially since he said he would take $100 off the price if you wanted new headlights.

We must have gotten the best of him.
 
I have to ask... is "decontented" a CEG term that I hadn't come across yet or were y'all meaning something else, just misspelling?

decontenting = cutting corners. Options, packages, but especially stupid little standard features like the glove box light, locking gas cap door, and dashboard clock, that were not offered in later model years of the Contour.

It's a car term in general, not just Ford, though not often seen.

Sheeezzz, What make this moron think he can get $7900, when no one bid at $4100 except some bidder with a feedback score of 2. Then he cancels his bid and changes the auction to a starting bid of $100 with a reserve and a BIN of $7900. What a goober.........
