I found this CSVT ad:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...70280107527&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123

I found it wierd, and some things didn't make sence. He described the car as "mint" and "original". "Collectors item in factory mint condition, increasing in value every day". Why would the car need a re-paint if it was mint when he bought it? It is not original, see the painted grill, wheels, tails, rear chrome, pre98 sails, etc...

Why would you have to re-paint an entire car with only 66k miles on it? Doesn't make any sence expecially if it was already "mint"..... And it is not factory original with the painted front oval, tinted tails, and painted crome strip on trunklid. You might want to disclose that and also why the car needed an entire re-paint.

Here is a spoon for you, ----o so you can eat my ass. I asked you simple legitimate questions about your car and the conditions of it. Thanks for the reply.

I just wanted to share. Am I ok to ask these questions to him or was my original message too mean?

I asked him the same questions, why a car with 66k miles needed new paint and windshield.......When it's described as Mint and all original. He told me to F*#@ OFF?

Sent Question...

"TRANS almost shifts itself.clutch original but strong"
If its a manual it shouldnt do that, Is there something wrong with it? My manual i have to shift it myself, manually...

Lets see the response...lol

Q: Will you take $1800 for car? It would take quite a but of money to fix the missing jack point covers on the side skirts, change the tinted taillights, get a new front grill and have the wheels resprayed silver.

Such meticulously maintained...he didnt even bother vacuuming the the passenger side footwell. :troutslap:

With 66K miles, that thing should look brand spanking new and if "meticulously maintained" it shouldnt need new paint.

Lets see if its been in an accident...I'll post the VIN in the carfax thread.

EDIT: Couple other things I noticed. SVT emblem is missing off the trunklid. Has a steering wheel cover already at 66K! I hope thats just preventive maintenance. Shift knob looks pretty shiny from the pictures. Must be pretty worn. Also, it has pre 98 sail panels (not original). Can't tell by the pictures but it probably has an aftermarket headunit as well. One more thing to tack on the list to bring it back to original.

I asked him if he would consider "parting out the car". No response yet..

I asked him about the paint and kept it nice to get a response...

"8 year old paint looks like 8 year old paint. i wanted it to look like a brand new car.its the original stock/factory code with two xtra coats of clear to achieve that show room lusterthat no 8 year old paint has. thanks for your interest JP. hope u win her. if you have never driven the SVTc, its a punchy 5 speed that rivals the BMWs,specially in this color and condition.thats why i freshened up the paint. if someone wants quick without style...buy a mustang.front wheel drive is so ideal-DUKE"

Yea I cringed when I read that listing a few days ago. I know of over 10+ SVT's with less then 50K miles in better shape and sure there are many more cleaner ones out there and he says it may be the best example left. LOL

edit: here was my message sent.

-"The tailights, grill, rims and other things need to be replaced. Will you take $1300?"

i asked why he repainted it...

your first question is common sense. think about it, hows the 10 year paint on your black SVT looken, the $2,600 paint job realy compliments the car well.also, its not the quite factory, its better.my painter recomended mixing in some pearl with the factory color. along with the xtra clear over top.its spectacular!!!its the one thing ford didnt upgrade on the SVTc. BUT I FIXED that!!! no accidents ever. thanks for asken, your welcome to come by and look at your reflection on any panel of this fine ford.-DUKE

he said looken

Which is it? Stock factory code, or pearl mixed in?

what i told him...
