drum brake pads..

Too true.

The one thing I hate about drum shoes is having to hammer that pin into the bottom of the back shoe.

the thing I hate is the rust ridge on the back side of the drum that will not come past the shoe:mad:

That doesn't bother me too much because I just go around the back side and spin the little wheel to collapse the shoes in more.

so my brakes squeek alittle but not everytime...its not even close to as loud as it used to be....im guessing its just the brakes being so new..need time to break in alittle and wear the squeek off? what do you guys think?

nope. if it was done right it shouldn't make any noise at all imho

fathers 66 mustang has 4 wheel drum brakes. we had existing drums turned and used re-lined shoes. put it all together and there isn't one noise from the brakes ....

They said my drums were so old they couldnt grind them down so i got my uncle who works for an acura dealership to order me 2 brand new ones for 30$ each..soo once i get them on (painted black first) the squeeking should be completly gone right?
