Can someone explain how headers are supposed to increase MPG?
Smoother and faster exhaust flow means less work for the engine plus on these cars you lose the restrictive precats.

With a MSDS header install don't you have to lengthen the EGR tube and does anyone know how long to lengthen it by?
You don't have to do this with the MSDS headers. I believe it was something you had to do with the Weapon R headers.
Awesome! - I am so glad I have MSDS on the way...... One less thing to deal with. PHWEEEEW
You won't have to mess with the tube until you do the 3L swap down the road.
Oh.... I am doing the swap, what do I have to do?
He is in the middle of a 3L swap :blackeye:
Oh.... I am doing the swap, what do I have to do? FYI I am doing a ported 3L which uses the SVT upper end.... so I don't think anything will need to be changed on the EGR tube..... hopefully
Crap you're right I forgot about that.
You may have to cut the pipes and ferrule them together with some brass fittings or just weld.
in a straight 3L swap you will have to rework the EGR because of the different UIM manifolds.
with the Weapon R headers you use a 5/8 (iirc) compression fitting to make everything work. Stazi posted pics back on the old forum about what to do ....
Sorry for hijacking this thread , but i've been trying to contact MSDS for a week now and I only get to their voice mail and I get no respons on e-mail.
Is there any other magic way to contact them besides the numbers on their site?
Look for threads about the MIL Eliminators. You'll wire them in or can try the spark plug anti-fouler trick.
