BLKOUT2: Rebirth. PRT 2011 track car build thread.

The last couple days have been slow as I've been really busy with the new PRT product releases and some customer work. What I did get done on the car:

Rear deck completely finished and painted.

Pulled dash, removed unnecessary brackets from crash bar, wiring is next, as well as filling firewall holes while it's out.

Car is ALMOST ready for paint, need to fill the sunroof hole, and pull the door windows and molding as well as the handles. Sunday night I cracked the windshield, just wasn't being careful. Bright side? Lexan replacements for the front, rear, and rear door glass sometime this year.

And just to whore, optimizing Imnotacop420's 65mm TB...

those dash bars look so much better with a few coats of paint on them. so since you shaved it, does that mean your not running the dash anymore?

Productive night last night but I forgot my camera. All the rear suspension is painted, so that'll go in soon, also did a lot of miscellaneous stuff that needed to be done. 4 1/2 weeks till the SVTOA show.

I recommend a wide angle camera so the logo appears in the camera recording of your runs....

Now that the cage is all done, whats the info on the camera? Do you already have something? Have you considered a GoPro? I have one and its all sorts of awesomeness. It would be perfect for the roll cage or mounting to the rear window.

I had no plans made for a camera....I'm currently more concerned with going fast than recording it. I would love some kind of video setup, but not at the moment.

Great work on the car :) Shame we dont get Contours over here. Would be great to see something like that in a show here :D

I'm cut, I'm bruised and I'm a little pissed off, but the car is 100% stripped. Tomorrow night the sunroof hole gets filled, and then it's time to sand her down for paint. So close! Pics tomorrow night I'm sure.

By some freak occurrence I blew out a rear window taking it out tonight. I've got 3 full sets of glass at the shop, but just one more reason why I can't wait to lexan this •••••.
