There is a possibility I MIGHT show up. Depending on how funds work out I may come up for a day or 2 with a bud. Very very iffy for me though, but i'm trying!
 
Good to hear John, a blown CSVT would be great to see and hear out there, just hope you find a way, along with CJ and the PPG pace car, this would be epic to have 2 sweet CSVT's out there, along with the other ones going.

Without my knowledge the Fiance scheduled our engagement pictures for that weekend and I got the "look" when I asked her to reschedule....

We're all meeting at a Waffle House in Kentucky, so you could time it according to what time we're leaving the Chicagoland area to meet us there somewhat near the time we get there, just don't forget about the time change. The addy to the Waffle House is 1600 Mount Eden Rd, Shelbyville KY

We're looking to leave Chicagoland around 2;30-3:00 a.m., gotta make one stop to pick someone up possibly. So CJ, do you think your making it out on our run?

looks like i'll be able to make it to the anniversary run :). Hopefully I can get my front bumper repainted by then.
 
Roger, just confirming I am still in. I will be staying in Pigeon Forge like I did a couple years ago so I'll need to know where the rendezvous point will be each morning once it is determined. Also, I don't think I'll be leaving home as early as you are wanting to so I'll also try to catch up with the group a few hours after you get there.
 
Bob, we're staying at the Dragon Pit Inn right on 129, about 10 miles away from where the Dragon ends, well, the actual part where we have all our fun. Not sure what time to meet us out there but since we're right on the Dragon, well, we can relax a bit in the morning, so I'd say around 9 a.m. should be fine. Glad you still making the run and I will add you to our master list on xceedspeed too.

Jason, really glad your making it out as well, yet another CSVT! Are you staying with us at the alt location which is right next to the Dragon Pit Inn? If so, let me know for sure and I'll add you to the list for that, we've got 2 open spots left thankfully, so the sooner you let me know the better, thanks.

My daughter, a friend of hers, and I will able to make it to this year's run :D.

So, we're really glad to be able to make this year's run, but I'm not sure where to stay. I know the Dragon Pitt is full & so I've made reservations with Dixie at Caney Creek for 10th - 14th. However, that's something like 30 miles from the Dragon Pitt.... Is there a closer place to stay?

I'm really sad to be unable to bring either Cougar this year - My white Cougar turns 14 years old on Sat. the 13th, but it needs a LOT of electrical work, and the black one has a funny stutter around 2500-3000 revs.

We'll be the Kia Soul hamsters instead. :crazy: It'll actually be the Soul's third visit to the Dragon.

My crazy daughter and a friend (whose family they were visiting in NC) took the Dragon and the Foothills Parkway from Robbinsville, NC to Pigeon Forge, TN in JANUARY, 2011, got snowed in, then went back the same route!! And all in my 3 month old new-to-me car :eek:. They put up a video of the snow going NW on the Foothills Parkway (for the first minute).

My daughter and I also did some Dragon and Cherohala Skyway runs on our meandering way home from CougarFest this year.

I'm going to be there the 11th thru the 13th but I'm going to be with the sportbike group I ride with. If I see anyone in a contour I'll stop by and say hi. I'll be on a white hayabusa with black and white leathers. Too bad I can't bring the contour and the bike, never been thru in the svt.

CJ, glad you making it down but let me know when your sure and I'll add you to the master list and our alt location list, I assume your looking to stay with us there, right? There's room here as well www.caneycreekvillage.com where Marge is staying, as well as a guy from our CR-Z site and his g/f, so you've got options, just let me know so I've got a current list. Your car would make the 3rd Contour, awesome!

I'd say we'll be down there between 3-4 EST, so CJ, if your looking to stay with us, try and be there around that time so we can pay for our rooms and split up the costs, thank you very much. You'd make the 10th or 11th person and the cost will be between $55-60 per person for the entire weekend, dirty cheap for sure!
