2012 Fall Dragon Run thread-10th anniversary! (10-11/10-14-12)

That's cool Jim. I was wondering your thoughts about the Knoxville airport and how safe the parking is there. I will be flying out from there on Sunday and returning later in the week. Also, do they let you park in the deck for several days or is it only short term parking?

In the garage there should not be a problem. I have left my vehicles there for a week or so at a time. You have both choices, long and short term parking.
 
Jim, glad your making it out there atleast one day with us, how many miles on the CSVT now?

Bob, how many days will you be out there with us?

Oh and BTW, its 4 more days to go guys!!
 
Roger, I'll be driving down Thursday, just a few hours behind you. I'll let you know when I get close to the area so we can meet up. Then when you guys head for home on Sunday morning I'll be heading for the airport instead.
 
Cool Bob, we'll be leaving the area around 4:30 a.m. so you may not be that far behind us, your further down south than we are, right? I think we'll get there around 3-4 p.m. depending on gas stops and once we get there we've gotta get everyone together and pay for the rooms, unpack and relax a bit before we all go out for dinner after a long drive that day, so we'll be around.

Its 3 more days, anyone else in?

Sadly, I will not be able to make it...enjoy yourselves. I think it's the perfect time of the year for this event, the scenery will be epic.

Oh you're not leaving until 4:30? I thought you were planning to leave between 2:30 and 3:00. I was planning to hit the road about 6:00. And yes I am starting farther south, but I am also farther west. It takes me about 3.5 hours to get to Indy, which is not much different than from Chicagoland (depending on where you start from).

When I hit the road I will give you a call to see where you are.
 
Roger, if you guys are leaving about 4:30 (central time) you should be in the Louisville area by about 10:00-10:30 (eastern time). depending on how everyone is feeling I could meet you guys for some breakfast/lunch still.
 
We'll see how it goes, the other half of our group is leaving at about 6 a.m., its just too early for them, so Hectour, jerry, my buddy Brad and I will be leaving at 4:30 a.m. and I'm not sure about the gas situation with Jerry's EVO, its even more modded now.

2 days to go guys, that's it and sorry you can't make it out CJ, maybe next year. SVOFANATIC, did you get another car?
 
I saw one t-red contour on the dragon Friday afternoon. It had a contour.org sticker on it. It was in the back of 3 or 4 other cars going past the store at the bottom of the dragon.

Yes, that was me. I was on the dragon once each direction each day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thursday it was a quick down and back at sunset. On Friday we went south on the dragon, had lunch at deals gap. My car was parked out front, at the entrance to the parking lot from 28. Then on to the Skyway over to Tellico Plains. We returned back the same way later on and that is probably when you saw me. On Saturday went south on the dragon and spent the day to the south of the area on 28 before coming back up through it just before sunset.
 
We were headed back to Robbinsville when I saw you. Sat. we went south to Blood Mtn., Suches , and Warwomen Rd. I never made it up there on Sat. Hate that I couldn't check your car out. I ran a car stereo store back in the mid 90's and had some nice stereos back in the day. I would love to have see your setup.
