I finally caved in and bought them. I picked up a camber kit and the upgraded camber plates... if I can get my brother to help these suckers are going in Thursday night with me taking it to CarCraft Summer Nationals Friday morning/afternoon (assuming I can get an alignment done in time, but eh I need new tires anyway...)

they're no use sitting there.

you're wasting valuable time!!!! put them in!

cant wait to see the end effect, do before/after pics.

My favorite suspension that I've had yet. Too bad it went with my black 3L I sold. :( My 2nd fav setup was koni's with ground controls which also sadly went with my 3L turbo when I sold it. My 3rd favorite setup was koni's with BAT springs which also went with another one of my 3L's I sold. Where am I going with this? I don't really know but I guess I'm saying that you need to keep the car awhile because it is too nice to sell the car with! So don't be like me.

Congrats on the purchase and take lots of before and after pics! I hope you are going to slam it!

Well before/after pics won't be too valuable since my current struts are blown pretty much all around... my car looks pretty much slammed lol.

However I plan to take pictures of all of this and put together a "How-To" for everyone that is curious. I'll have shots of the OEM suspension installed along with removal and of course pics of the assembly process... Stay Tuned!

it looks like your missing some lock rings on the fronts. there should be a total of 3 on each front strut. one for the spring perch and 2 for the sway bar link attachment (one on either side of it).

like this (i know its blurry but you can see what im talking about)

Do you know what the minimum drop is with these. I heard some say it's at least a 2-3" drop minimum. The reason I ask is that I'm between these and the koni/GC setup. I just don't want to be forced to go to low, I want the choice

Hope my question makes sense :blackeye:

Chas.

you can see on the picture i posted that the spring perch can only go up about another 1". when it was sitting on the ground the front edge of the side skirts sat at about 3.5" off the ground. that means the highest you will likely get will be about 4.5" off the ground. FWIW, my Konis/B&Gs put the front edge of the skirts at about 5.5" off the ground (IIRC).

Take a closer look at my picture versus yours...

Mine has a set screw (pinch bolt) to lock the sway bar end link mount. The previous versions of the Ksport Contour kit did not have this set screw. Because of this they required two locking rings to prevent movement. This in my opinion is a more robust design with the new version I have.

ok, i couldnt tell from your picture, although i thought the mount looked different. i agree, i would rather have the pinch bolt instead of the lock rings. the rings are a PITA to get really tight.

I notice a few differences with those vs mine. The rears on yours, at the bottom is black, mine is silver/raw. The pinch bolt vs the locking slider things. I hate trying to tighten those!!

Yea my brother and I got them in this morning at 5am... we started putting them around 7:15pm last night. Still trying to get the ride height adjusted all around, but everything went together pretty smooth. I cleaned out the knuckles with some carb cleaner and then put in some bearing grease around the knuckle and the bottom of the struts. Once everything was line up they slid in pretty smooth. I used a sludge hammer on the knuckle tapping it a bit, but it wasn't like full out be the piss out of it, just some love taps. So far I'm very impressed. I'll post up pictures tomorrow most likely.

On another note I'm not sure what your guy's kits said on them but mine says it's for a "Mondeo" on the packaging inside the box.

For the price I think I'm going to change my mind about the Koni/CG, for these, especially considering the price! Now that they have improved them, it gives me a better feeling :o

Do you think we should ask for the "Mondeo kit" or is that what all the new kits say?

Ps. If by chance you took a pic of the car at full height with the KSports, could you post it?

Not to mention you don't have to cut the perch off!
