Looky Looky... KSport

Never mind. I just had the genius idea to go onto ksports website and check it out myself. They're 291f/280r. I think it's a little on the soft side for the front. I've used 275lb 8 inch springs up front before. There was too much dive in transitional breaking for any type of racing rubber. Only on squishy sidewall street tires was this an appropriate spring rate. It made for too much throttle lift oversteer since the inside rear wheel was always way up in the air. 450-550 lbs is a really good choice for up front.

its mainly b/c of the way the strut is pinched into the knuckle on this platform. on my probe gt were the struts have two "ears" that are bolted to the knuckle the ksports were able to be adjusted by lowering the whole strut,or just the spring perch.

Not true... as the rear struts are adjustable as they should and are also pinched in the knuckle...

I wonder if I swapped the struts from the rear to the front if it would make any difference sinces theres more weight in the front...

well my ksports are in livonia with an ETA of today, the suspension tech at my dealer said he would do all 4, drivers hub, and alignment for 180...which means i'm stayin clean...what a great day!

Well... after a great deal of thought I'm going to be selling my KSport setup. Since this is my DD car I can't have it this low in the winter (it would be a snow plow). So I will be replacing it with a BAT setup. Once I have the BAT setup installed you will see my KSports up in the classifieds and maybe on eBay. It will be complete setup with original packaging and instructions with less then 1,000 miles on it (I'll figure out the exact mileage when I sell it). I may also throw in my camber kit with the upgraded camber plates as well.

Don't get me wrong the kit is great especially now that the end link collars have a pinch bolt. However for a DD car it's just to too low. Definitely would make a great suspension for a car constantly used for track or aggressive spring, summer and fall driving. I just don't want to be pulling all of my suspension out every season

just buy a 1000 dollar jalopy dood!

i only raise my coug about 2 inchs in the winter, although that is also why i never got a body kit either. i need to get myself a winter car.

I'd like to enjoy the Mirko splitter that I have about $340 invested in.

I also don't have room for another car... I already have my Camaro sitting on the side of the garage ... I need to build a shop in my backyard. I can get up to a 1900sqft garage built acording to the city.

Why don't you just get the springs that would best suit you? You know that you don't have to use the springs that came with the ksports. That way you could have winter springs and summer springs. I switch the springs on my coilovers regularly depending on what I'm going to do with my car. It takes about half an hour for me.

There's three measurements on a spring. Inner diameter, rate, and length. Just get longer springs.

longer springs wont help since the struts are only so long. the existing springs are already as long as you can go. not to mention the springs are not standard coil over springs. they are specially designed so that they use the factory upper spring perch, bearing, and mount.

well, i love my ksports...but oh dang are they stiff. possibly the stiffest suspension i've ever driven on. i had to remount my amps with plastic plugs and screws inside to quiet that down. but the rears are full stiff and the fronts are on 10 over full soft. fronts will be cranked to full tommorow. i love them! but they are without a doubt purpose built. i just wonder how long they'll hold up after reading many reviews.

also, i will be painting my front tce kit calipers and 2-piece rotors:):):) this sunday, also a huge detail is in order...its been 4 month :( talk about the filth.

so ugh....PHOTOSHOOT
