We could just do the standard USPS Priority mail envelope - It cost $4.05 and gets there in 2-3 days. This way the shipping would be the same for everyone and I could just buy a bunch of the envelopes, put all the parts in and ship them out, as soon as I get them.

Here is a picture of what the paper template will be. When you get it just cut it out and tape it to the shift tower. Then grind away. You will need to take the center console out to have good access.

The spring sits down around a piece of flat steel. When you move the shifter side to side, one side of the spring actuates on the piece of steel, while the other side moves with the shifter lever mechanism. In the picture above there is a cutout that has been circled. This cutout allows the spring to move in the full range of motion. In order to accomodate the taller plate that cutout needs to be extended upwards.

I will include a paper template with the riser plate that can be used to mark and cut the slot.

there is a spring that makes the stock shifter self centering. with this new shifter you need to make a new slot or notch so the spring works.

do you see the slot in the red circle? you put the template over that and it shows you were to make the new slot. i hope that helps.

You only need the spring if you want the shifter to self center. It will probably do an OK job due to the springs in the transmission.
