In the UK you get two types of inlet manifolds for this type of set up on a Zetec, a long version for when the engine is used inline for Caterham 7 style kit cars and a shorty version for use on FWD applications. The later leave room for a filter box or sock filters even when fitted to a car as small as a UK Ford Fiesta, so there would be room for a turbo plenum.
A throttle bodies set up is not a cheap option in the UK a new set up with manifold, the bodies, sensors, loom, engine management and the softwear to map it is about £1,800 to £2,000 depending on the XR that equates to just under $4,000.

so basically it would be able to fit, however due to cost its just not worth it.

Lots of folks do it on the cheap by using motorcycle throttle bodies off wrecks,( Suzuki GSXR 1000 and Hyabusa are a popular source) and an engine management kit like Megasquirt on a fabricated manifold, that can work out, with ebay as your friend, as little as $800 equivalent in £'s

seen those being built on in the euro forums. they dont look much different then specialty kits
