was reading through here and saw threads about the highest hp 3l. now im not looking to get the highest hp 3l ever built. but i am looking to put into the svt the higher setup of all the diffferent ways to go.
this is what i have come to believe is the highest hp way to go.
04+ 3l
svt heads,cams,etc svt stuff. gives you higher compression correct?
full exhaust which is MSDS at the moment i believe into a Bassani cat back
underdrive pullies
ac delete???
NPG cold air
LSD is already on the car
upgraded motor mounts to keep (some) traction
bearing kit to keep from burning up crappy bearings
a tune from NPG or a local dyno tune
now from what i remember reading is that when putting the svt heads on the 3l there are a few oil drian back holes that need to be filled?
are the gains that small from the bumped compression that its easier to go with the port matched 3l?
its getting closer for me to have to order parts and the engine. my father being the old school gear head he is whats to put in the highest base engine we can. i was eventually thinking FI but i just wont ever be able to afford it beacause of other stuff that has to go on the svt as well as other cars in the stable.
