Fiberglass Eyelids

Since I'm painting mine, I didn't feel it important to point out the surface blemishes in the gel coat. The passengers side was nearly immaculate, aside from one little spot on the far left edge where it curves in for the top of the light.

The driver side is a little rough in spots.

But like I said, I was going to sand them anyway and paint them, as I would hope anyone who bought a fiberglass set was planning on doing anyway. I was just showing the gel coat wasn't perfect on one of mine, and this in no way detracts from the over all quality on the product.
 
When painting the fiberglass eyelids you will need to wet sand them with 400-600 then prime then paint. If you want them to look like your paint on your car then you will need to wet sand, Prime, wetsand, then paint and clear.

Anything you paint you sould wet sand and prime , then paint so every thing sticks and looks good when you are done.
 
My sets arrived today. Seems that Canada Customs held them because a $0.00 value was declared. They opened up the box and inspected. FYI, when a value greater than $0.00 is declared, even just $1.00, Canada Customs usually let the package go through without any problems. :shrug:

Rear eyelids are going to be wierd....I would have to see it. This was an idea of what Im thinkin... Cf or FG that would be a strip a cross the reflector that runs paralel to the top of the light and dips down where the ford logo is. then two contour'd rear eyelids. I think it would be hard to pull off however.

This idea actually crossed my mind but with the chrome strip along the top of the reflector panel I don't know how you would make it flow or look good. I still vote LIP SPOILER! :laugh:
 
someone start photoshopping ideas... I too would need to see something in order to vote yes/no

I have a spare rear refector that I could send in and dontate if needed but no extra Rear light assemblies.
