Got some ideas for meeting places...need to establish a time too. This is for Saturday, 1/31/09. Some descriptions to help with the poll:
1. Hooters, South side of Lansing <1 mile from I-96
2. Hall of Fame Cafe, East Lansing, just off US-127 between 96 & 69. Great access and a very nice place...as long as you like MSU. Not ritzy, but definitely caters to those not broke.
3. Small Planet, 2.3 miles from #2, North side of East Lansing. Brand new place, caters to students. Known for the night life, supposed to be quiet in the afternoon.
4. BW3's, East Lansing (near campus). I throw this in there because it makes the perfect neutral gathering setting. Downside is parking...virtually NO free parking, several ramps and a surface lot to choose from, starting at $0.50/half hour.
Places 1-3 all have good parking while all 4 have good to decent access from the highway, and seem like the right environment for casual banter over snacks/soda/beer. This is a first for me, so pipe up if I left anything out. I'll give full directions from any direction once a spot is chosen.
