99 SVT, 140k miles. I beat the crap out of this car <grin> and so I guess it is time to show it some love...

Clutch is slipping when accelerating hard into second or third around turns and quick 2-3 upshifts or high rev 3-2 heel-and-toe downshifts have been grinding for a while.

Any recommendations on where I can spend some money without getting ripped off?
I don't mind paying good money if I know the shop is reputable and will do the work right.

I'm northwest, in Cobb... Acworth/Kennesaw/Marietta/Woodstock etc. Someone recommended Aamco on Cobb Parkway by Dobbins AFB. Anyone know these guys?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes thats sicse, he is a good guy and will hook you up dude.

if i were you i would send OB1 on here a pm. He does awesome work and I can bet would be cheaper than any dealer. He is the only one I trust with my cars besides myself

I appreciate the 411 from everyone. No offense to anyone but knowledge or not, I think I'll pass on the added expense of going to a dealer. I'll look into this OB1 gentleman.

Or maybe I'll just jack up the gas cap and install a Corvette underneath.

I 2nd that. He does better work than any dealer/repair shop that you will find.

My personal labor rate is much more reasonable than the dealership's, so people that I do work for directly, I treat as side jobs.

Just to clarify, it's the TECH that does the work on your car, not the dealership. So while there are definitely techs at dealerships that do shotty work, that doesn't mean that EVERYONE who works at a dealership is that way. I'm not bashing OB1 in any way - he's a great guy, I just don't want to be lumped into a stereotype based on where I work.

Thanks for the love Ryan & Montrese
