damn i wish i check this early like a few of you guys told me too, i had been burning alot of oil i out the exhaust, so i figured i had bad rings or valves, but i my buddy told my to change the PCV just in case, and when i went looking for it i found a bunch of oil seeping out from the rear vacuum line. so im going to replace the PCV and then seafoam my car and that should do it, assuming that i dont have any internal damage.

now with the PCV me and two of my buddys were looking for it last night and is it me or can you not see it from the top of the motor, i think its in the back behind the EGR but i just cant see it. where is the damn thing?

replaced the pcv today and it and its connecting hoses were drenched with oil, but damn the thing was a little bit to get out, usually a PCV is like a 2 minute thing but this took me like 35 minutes.

crap this guy had my problem and i couldn't find it until now so thanks for having car trouble so i could cheat off of your forum lol ... im gonna go change it now ... had same problem but i had a power outage fouled out all the plugs with the oil so i did the plugs and and now im gonna do the pvc so thanks !!!!!!! * JUST HAD A THOUGHT* is it located in the same spot on a 2003 taurus 3.0 as the 2.5's were ????? maybe maybe not i was gonna do it but i'll wait till tomorrow maybe i will have a reply by then tonight im beat so im out but thanks in advance ... and the page in the contour book that you have hown is page 1-23 for anyone looking for it ... just fyi ...

I suggest getting a haynes manual for when you don't have access to the forum. I picked one up for $20 at autozone today, quite handy.
