Just dissapointed with how I felt going home the past 2 years, time for a change! Between "gun gate" and that being turned into me being against guns, the HS locker room sheet, the guy with the blue Fit and his sheet and ofcoarse, more of the HS locker room sheet that pisses me off. Thin skinned or not, its tired and believe me, I'm not the only one who noticed this, just the only one, as usual, that posts about it. I've gotten PM's on the other forums too, they also don't like the HS locker room sheet one bit!

You bring what you bring to the run and that's it, some have more than others and some struggle to just be there and others fit somewhere in the middle. The run is about having a good time and seeing what others have done to their cars over the past year, remember, we only see each other once a year for the most part, so why not make the most of it instead of tearing people's cars down, its very disrespectful.

THAT IS ALL!

All the razzing should've been saved for this guy, direct quote from Jim, the guy with the blue Fit. Based on this quote, he WASN'T joking one bit....

Here are some driving shots of my car, and there are more on my photo thread. I have a few pics of the other cars, but they aren't Fits so I'm not going to post them.

This is someone who's got waaaaaaaaaay to high of opinion about a quality, B-segment car! This is also what our run is NOT about but then again, his ego might be accepted by some, I don't know:rolleyes:

SARCASIM 101....READ AND LEARN FROM THE MASTER!
I mean there's hardcore and then there's HARDCORE! Good thing they didn't take this stance over on the Contour site because their would only be pics of one car, Matt's T-Red CSVT. Our run is not only about the cars but the PEOPLE who drive them. This whole run started back in 2003 with 3 cars, 2 Contours and FSVT. Since then, many of us are 2-5+ cars removed from the Contour but have remained friends. It was just the Contour that brought us together but we still admire and respect the other cars, especially ones that are above and beyond what brought us together. Once of the guys who was in the original 3, Josh, has built himself a Factory 5 Daytona replica, I mean its NO Fit but an awesome car nonetheless. He's still around on the Contour forum and will make it out to our 10th anniversary run next year with that car. The other member of the original 3 is Eric, another local who had a regular Contour SE that always had bald tires on it and he drove the hell out of it, again, not a Fit but it too did good down there as well. Since then he's had various other cars but now has an AE86 that he's building an engine for. It will surely not be able to keep up with the Fit out there but he'll do his best for sure, even if the car weighs about 2000 lbs and has RWD w/about 130 hp, maybe the Fit should just give him a chance out there. Finally there's me, the final member of the original 3. I first went out there in my modded 2000 Contour SVT, certainly NO Fit but it did pretty good with Bilstein struts, lowering spring, SS lines, BBS RX's w/perf Goodyear rubber. Following that up out there was yet another car that was NO Fit, a 2005 Crossfire Limited w/6 speed. This M-B platform couldn't hold a candle to the Fit with its 215 hp and 230 ft/lbs of torque and RWD but was a pretty good handler for a RWD car. Moving on was the 2007 Mini Cooper S w/sport suspension and sport package, fat BFG's and PIAA wheels, custom cat-back w/Magnaflow and functional ram-air intake. This car gave me alot of problem, unlike the Honda but I wanted to keep it, even though it was NO Fit. Then I really got an awesome car, my 2010 Honda Fit sport which I had modded with Drag Dr20's, Conti DWS', K&N typhoon intake and Magnaflow muffler, certainly the greatest car of all time, hands down! I don't know what I was thinking but I traded it in because I wanted a stick, so I settled for the 2011 CR-Z EX 6MT, its NO Fit once again but it gets me around. The features and MPGs, blah-blah-blah, I just can't get over the fact that I don't have the Fit anymore, what was I thinking

This run is all about a bunch of car guys having fun and getting to know each other, the cars are just a passion we all share. I dont give a crap what car you bring or who's car is better. Don't be a dick and think you are better than anybody else or your car is better.

Some joking around makes it fun, but don't take it too far. Year one i brought a cts-v that was made fun of as the heaviest car. Ever year since then i have brought my torqueless wonder of an S2000. Blue fit took it too far. The first thing he told me was how he wanted to show Roger up and make him regret buying a crz. First impressions mean a lot, and i got the impression that this guy was a douche about two bad comments away from a swift kick in the teeth.

I have loved meeting new people. Because racecar and the adventures of the open hood 240 made this trip epic. I propose that we continue inviting new people and just let them know about the group ahead of time. If they act like blue fit guy, alero guy, or brake in the middle of the road red fit guy we can just shun them and go about having fun.

Agreed!

Agreed! Like I posted on the other site, I wouldn't miss this trip for the world. I even like the rough ass cabins we stay in. It gives me that "your here to drive not to stay in a hotel" feel.

My video of Hectors A$$ at night:
Click on the black box below! Oh yeah CRANK UP THE VOLUME after 3:45! Let the CSVT sing!

That's one of the best Dragon vids ever, is it on YouTube yet Matt?

I like the yellow glow on the trees as your going around too! I wish I could've heard your comments as you were driving the but the 24V DOHC was having NONE of that!! Too bad you didn't have enough room to record it all the way up to Deal's Gap but oh well, what we've got there is really awesome!!!

Now as far as Jim (the guy with the blue Fit) goes, well, it appears that he rubbed Jim (PPE) the wrong way too and as you can tell, Jim is cool as a cucumber, so for him to say something, that says something. I guess Jim (PPE) has had bad experiences with SCCA people and as you might remember, or not, Jim w/ the blue Fit, has an SCCA sticker on his car. He blew off Tyler when he asked about his car too, I mean really, your driving a Fit and your blowing people off!? If there's anyone who deserves the relentless ragging on about Fit's, its this guy, so maybe that should be kept in mind and turn your attention that way and away from me.....maybe, possibly????

Let's hear from everyone about the lodging situation too, it seems some like where we're at and some wanna move and honestly, I see both sides very clearly on this one, so hopefully I don't fall off of the fence, somewhere I'm not used to being for sure!

I have the full run. It's over 22 min long. I even like the ending. The problem is I have no video editing software. I'll see if I can "borrow" some off the internet.
