As title says, the sway bar end links were shot on the Mystique, the they were still pretty good on the SVT, so I bought new Moog end links for the SVT and put the old ones on the Mystique...

I also had the stock 18mm bar from my 99 Mystique laying around too. So, I figured since I was doing end links might as well throw the bar in as well... All I have to say is that the 18mm bar and new end links made a big difference in how the car handles. I'm very impressed. For an upgrade that cost me new end links for the SVT, not too bad... :D

Anywho a couple pics of the new end links and sway bars...

Where'd the bushings go? I guess 171k of Rochester winters takes its toll on suspension parts...

Nice cheap upgrade. I did the same with my old Probe by putting on a 626 sway bar. Now I'll probably do this to my SVT!

Most SE Sport's got either the 18 or 19mm IIRC. I think pre-98 SE's all got the 19mm bar as well. All SVT's got a 19mm bar.

Check the suspension FAQ as i'm not sure which non-svt's had the 19mm bar other than the Pre-98 SE's...

From the suspension faq:

What are the differences in stock sway bars between models?
Front:
Year/ Model/ Engine/ Size
All/ SVT/ V6/ 19MM
All/ Non-SVT/ ALL/ 20MM
Rear:
Year/ Model/ Engine/ Size
1995-1998/ GL&LX/ ALL/ 17MM
1995-1998/ SE/ All/ 19MM
1998.5+/ LX/ I4/ 16MM
1998.5+/ LX/ V6/ 17MM
1998.5+/ SE/ All/ 18MM
All/ SVT/ V6/ 18MM

looks like a fun time home slice!!! now we need to do a suspension in the SVT and throw the SVT suspension on the mystique! dam this makes me want to do my sway bar end links..

Oh? Normally people take the bigger sways from the Probes and put them on their Mx6/626.
 you need to get out of your 1g mode!!! he's talking about using a 96+ 16mm rswb to replace the 12mm rswb on the 93-97 probe/mx6.

Good lord the 2nd gen got screwed on that rear sway. No wonder the 1st gen dances circles around them.

I beg to differ when it came to handling and brakes (though they are not part of this discussion). Hell, the power wasn't even that far off (stock to stock).

Yes, I was referring to replace the stock second gen PGT rear sway. Thanks 95PGT-T.

Anywho, back on topic.

Thought about it, but probably won't bother, the suspension is fine on the Mystique and with the bigger rear bar it feels better balanced. It even stopped my clunk. I still gotta do something about that motor mount though. I guess I should just order up some poly and fill those too.

So the current mod list to the Mystique:
16mm-18mm rear sway bar upgrade
Removed intake tubing from fender, cut open stock airbox on fender side, cleaned Valve cover breather filter
Regapped plugs to .050 (Were around .060 so close to stock spec)
Sony Cassette Deck

Upcoming mods:
Optimized TB
Intake (Maybe... :D)
Timing belt/idler pullies/tensioner

Then I think i'm done modding the 'Stique for a while...

Beg all you want but the facts wont support it. Less weight, more power and a beefier suspension equal faster all around car. Sorry to get off topic again!
