I have a 98 LX that I'm upgrading quite heavily. I have the sub-frame connectors, I will be getting the RSTB and FSTB, and either Ksport or Koni/GC for suspension. The only thing I'm unclear on is what i should/can do to the sway bars.
I understand the reason for smaller front/larger rear bars, but I'm not sure what options I have.
1. BAT sells both the 19mm and the 21mm as upgrades, but BAT says the 21mm will only work with SVT's. What makes this option a no-go for a LX? Is it the subframe? Is it something I can change out so I could run this 21mm bar???
2. If I am stuck with the max being the 19mm bar, I maybe able to find one in a J.Y. around here instead of dropping $100+ with BAT. What would I need from BAT/Energy suspension/Moog, etc. to make the one from J.Y. fit? (are the end links and end link bushings the same on all models?)
3. Should I bother with the front bar, and if so, what do I need to make it smaller and where can I get it (other than J.Y.)?
Thanks guys,
Chas.
